Why don't you use wiremod and a pod controller for the controls? Then w,a,s,d will only work if you are sitting in the vehicle.

i can't use WASD... because when you walk to get into the car, it'll drive away

You should use WASD as the movement.My head keep spinning when i press arrow keys and try to make a car that needs to start engine :)
