its good but i think it might hit the side of OP, the fact that an engie doesn't have to do as much work takes a little fun out of the battle. also it makes it that much harer to kill. i woulkd like to know how many levels could it upgrade to?
FounD^R 10 Mar, 2012 @ 10:55am
Anyyou engie lovers wnat a sunbeams festiviser im sellin 2.5 buds
Social Media Manager 4 Jan, 2012 @ 11:44pm
I don't think it's op, seeing that most engies get killed before they can even get in range to do melee damage, you havee to be a super battle engy to make this work
Biggus Dickus 25 Dec, 2011 @ 7:52pm
with or without?
intelligentCodeMonkey 25 Dec, 2011 @ 7:48pm
this does solve the problem with the losing of a building support of teleporters and dispensers
Biggus Dickus 25 Dec, 2011 @ 7:46pm
How about restored health from damge is also halfed. That way, the ammount of helath that can be restored is 100% instead of 150%
intelligentCodeMonkey 25 Dec, 2011 @ 7:42pm
interesting idea
but remeber that scraped building valve makes sentry much more harder to kill
Biggus Dickus 25 Dec, 2011 @ 7:39pm
I was thinking of something.
A sentry that upgrades itself. If any of you have been on an advanced weaponizer server have tried to use the experimental wrench that healls and repairs your sentry based on how much damage it does. What if we applied that to the sentry. For how much damage the sentry does, it heals itself and increases its upgrade progress.

Good = How much damge the sentry deals, that much health and upgrade is added to sentry.

Bad = Ammo has to be manualy added. Wrenching doesnt upgrade sentry. Wrenching only adds half as much health.

Do you think its OP?

Shobro 20 Oct, 2011 @ 1:19pm
it would stay at the reduced damage, hence the importance of putting up an sentry and not healing it (which also adds more ammo) and making it a good challange for a huge push which you can ambush and increase your damage upon with your sentry taking damage, get crits if ur using the frontier justice, and try to stop a wave.
Social Media Manager 19 Oct, 2011 @ 8:06pm
what would the deep blood do with no sentry at all?
Shobro 19 Oct, 2011 @ 3:24pm
good point, what if it was restored back to regular power when sapped?
Social Media Manager 17 Oct, 2011 @ 4:56pm
W00T!!!! 700 members!!! :D
Biggus Dickus 17 Oct, 2011 @ 3:07pm
it could possibley one hit kill spies if sentrys are being sapped.
Social Media Manager 17 Oct, 2011 @ 6:17am
what about when you have no sentry at all?
Shobro 16 Oct, 2011 @ 5:44pm
and a good tactic to use would be to make the sentry take tons of damage and then rebuild it somewhere safer! again any critisism is gladly accepted!
Shobro 16 Oct, 2011 @ 5:43pm
another idea i had was for a wrench called the "Deep Blood". it was a wrench that increased in damage in dealt based upon how damaged your sentry was. Example: your sentry is down to half health, the Deep Blood then does 50% more damage. the Deep Blood would have to start at less damage but i think it would be a balanced weapon for those engineers who like taking the extreme damage to enemies.
Shobro 16 Oct, 2011 @ 5:41pm
i thought the reapair node was originally a replace for the telleporters...
izzy 13 Oct, 2011 @ 8:17pm
No new weapons but theres some engie hats and miscs

Shobro 13 Oct, 2011 @ 3:52pm
i think i great idea for the engineer (dont takethis please talk to me first) would be an item called "The Sentral". in short its a dispenser that heals and give ammo to your sentry or a fellow engineer's sentry. it can only operate on one sentry at a time tho, has to be built near the sentry, and has the same stats as a regular dispenser. i know certain areas of this need to be twiqued but i'ld like to know what you guys think about it! :D
Social Media Manager 13 Oct, 2011 @ 2:52pm
:D
Biggus Dickus 12 Oct, 2011 @ 9:11pm
I mostly stick with a lvl 2 sentry as it has push power behind its bullets unlike a lvl 1 sentry.
ouppy 11 Oct, 2011 @ 4:21am
But, yeah, don't assume I thought anybody would actually listen. I'd just like to see a weapon set based on level three buildings, to avoid having engis use a level one regular sentry.
ouppy 11 Oct, 2011 @ 4:15am
Considering that an engineer is based around his buildings, the 50% more build time, and, maybe also less repair on swing would be just about enough. This set is based on the level three sentry, which would be MUCH harder to reach while using it.
intelligentCodeMonkey 10 Oct, 2011 @ 10:37pm
got to agree wit awesomely it not feeling it kinda feels over complicated
Biggus Dickus 10 Oct, 2011 @ 9:21pm
meh... There's to much positive effects. Its should always be noted that a non-stock weapon always has more negative effects than positive. There are some exceptions.
ouppy 10 Oct, 2011 @ 5:29pm
When the teleporters are placed (no upgrades necessary, that'd be stretching it), an alt-fire attack would be enabled with the Deconstructor (clawhammer). This attack would cause the engineer to attack downward in a "bonking" fashion, stunning enemies for three seconds, mini-critting, and INSTANTLY removing sappers (cooldown about the same as a chargin' targe, maybe longer). The hammer would NOT have normal crits (I mean, come on =P). The full set (The Carpenter Cowboy) would decrease building construction rate by a percentage (25%? 50%? that seems like a debate waiting to happen). It might also increase level-three building health, as well as change the buldings to look older and rustier. I haven't thought much on hats, but a hat I tought of would be a rough leather cowboy hat with a bandolier wrapped around it. I don't think I'm yet done imagining things for this, and you guys can give me any ideas you might have!
ouppy 10 Oct, 2011 @ 5:14pm
Ookies. The Claim-Jumper would normally fire at the same rate as the normal shotgun, and reload like the FaN, except when a level three sentry is built. At that point, it would reload and fire as fast as a Soda-Popper, or maybe even faster. The Quickdraw/Six-Shooter is normally has the same damage and other stats as a regular pistol, but at half ammo capacity. When a level three Dispenser (maybe I could stick with sentries, but I like the difference) is built, the draw speed would increase by 50%, but, more interestingly, when the gun is drawn, the Engi will spin the cylander, causing the fire rate to increase by around 50% within a second or so of drawing it (perhaps Right Mouse could trigger the spin if the gun is already drawn). Finally, there comes the Deconstructor. This rusty devil would make the Engi a feared melee combatant, that is, if he has built tow teleporters at least twenty yards away from each other. ^continued *

fluttershy guy the balls in your court, so any ideas on stats
Biggus Dickus 8 Oct, 2011 @ 3:37pm
I want to hear stats.
ouppy 7 Oct, 2011 @ 10:46pm
I'll be open to discussion for anyone who wants to inquire about my ideas in more depth. If not, there are multiple people using this profile so I'll get to anyone eventually.
intelligentCodeMonkey 5 Oct, 2011 @ 4:21pm
i would totally model this for you but my skill isnt there yet
intelligentCodeMonkey 5 Oct, 2011 @ 4:11pm
i would like to hear more like stats and porential pictures
ouppy 5 Oct, 2011 @ 3:06pm
OK I have not posted in a while but I would like to share my ideas of weapon designs, since I have no design skill myself. The new weapon set for the engi would be called "The Carpenter Cowboy," or somehting. The shotgun would be a double barreled shotgun (except longer than the FaN, a typical "wall-mounted' shotgun,) and called the "Claim-Jumper." The new sidearm would be a revolver pistol (not a magnum, that's Spy territory) called either the "Quickdraw" or the "Six-Shooter." The final weapon would be a rusty Claw Hammer, perhaps called the "Deconstructor." Please put a message here if you would like to help me out with these weapon ideas, or would like to hear more of my ideas regarding these weapons.

I actually use the short circuit alot, and as the group tactician, highly recommend it. It's gotten me out of alot of sticky situations. i know most people prefer to tank their buildngs, but even that won't save you from 10 stickybombs going off at the same time, killing you and your sentry, its also very fun to see noobs rage whe you blow up their projectiles. In the right hands, the short circuit can be a lifesaver.
nova 19 Sep, 2011 @ 9:00pm
Family Business isn't bad actually, but the short circuit needs to go.
rat kid alert 19 Sep, 2011 @ 8:56pm
