anyone know how to link modules together? (new player my B)

A Friend gifted the game for me and now i want to do so much in it,
Oh BTW thought ill add a comment as its been a while.
i so want station modules to be built in Survival mode,
i have spent the beter part if the last week putting together a station in creative.
i feel the way to do it in survival is either
1. put a projector at a certain point and the build it and it connects to the existing staiton build
2. build the modular in space then be able to manuver them in to position and lock them to the staion build.

he might have invited me like 3 days before the video. I wouldn't know because my computer has literally 500 MB of RAM so i only check steam online and its really slow. plus my internet cuts out at random times because my computer is to old and it is a poorly made USB Wi-Fi with only 50 Mb/s but it only gives me about 100Kb/s when downloading something. :( you can see my dilemma.
