Hi, I guess I need a supreme court ruling :P on if my new server can stay in or no.
I've added my 24/7 CTF Server: 104.247.203.243:19001 it's very vanilla with standard maps, map voting, autobalance, and the standard bots to fill up to 8 slots when no humans are in. But it has custom nav meshes for the standard bots to "discourage" them from capping the intel =D.

Is it okay if we add servers which do not belong to us? What if it is a server ran by a community we are a part of, is that okay? Also, does this do anything like 'matchmaking'? As in, if there are 15 players waiting for a server in a particular region and all of the servers are empty, would it send all those 15 people to the same server?

@Sunmist That's fine! Your server will automatically be "toggled" if it's (non-)compliant, as long as your server isn't non-compliant for 7 or more days, you should be fine!

Hi, I am interested in adding my server (runs Asteroid) to vanilla.tf, but I have a few questions about your requirements. I would like to run alltalk and a plugin to allow duels without using a dueling kit, but I am not sure if this is vanilla enough. Also, is there a way to toggle vanilla.tf on/off if I'm doing something special on the server and it won't be compliant for a bit?

i think the server requirements are too strict. although the name is vanilla tf, most of the time i am not searching for full vanilla servers.

i used to like valve servers because they had full servers and a lot of maps. i did not use valve servers because they were perfect, had the best maps or the best plugins -- i used valve servers because they were the best option.

imo you should allow servers with mixed map rotations for standard gamemodes.
i also would not mind other choices for gameplay modifications since i certainly do not want to use both this site and the ugly server browser. sometimes i also want to play with rtd or some other fun. if you have more choices in your browser (the defaults can stay the same) more people will use it to find a game.

besides from that, this website needs to be advertised more and needs to partner with other server communities. for example uncle dane, he advertised custom servers before, its worth a shot.

Hi Consoco! Thanks for the feedback, the servers are acutally allowed to have multiple maps in the rotation (also of different gamemodes) as long as they were officially released maps. Let me know if you have any other suggestions!

Looks like you can add servers with the port in the host, causing it to constantly go online/offline, and ending with a server like "1.2.3.4:27015:27030"
