So, thanks to the manniversary update turning Team Fortress 2 into Crash Fortress 2, we aren't able to create a dedicated server at the moment. So I'm open to Ideas as to what we should do until they fix this travisty

these are the exact names, so you -should- be able to type them into google and look at them for yourselves before Friday. I'm going to take no responses as the playlist is good as it is, even though I really know that simply mean half of you didn't see the announcement in the first place -_-;

I guess it would help if I clarified how I see the server running this year. I'm going to make the map rotation at the begining of each week (either sunday or tuesday) and try to post it on here, where you guys can make adjustments as needed. The reason I am doing this is because
1) If everyone knows that the rotation isn't going to be changed that night, they won't be as inclined to bicker about it. (Any requests by the nonVIPs, other than for a new custom map which will take time for me to hunt down and test myself, will be added to the next week's rotation)
2) the map folder is now pushing 1gb, and that is after i did some "cleaning" of a few maps people didn't care for (sorry france, citadel is bye-bye). By having a set rotation, I only have to put the maps we are playing that week onto the flashdrive(s), making the total time it takes to transfer them ALOT faster.
3) See first Annoucement.
I know that this takes alittle bit of the "spontaneity" out of the TF2 server, but if we keep getting the numbers of TF2fers we've been getting (and now with it free, I only see them inceasing), we're going to fast approach a time when it literally takes us an hour to get everyone playing, and that's no fun for anyone.

I was thinking in order to make things simpler, that we could just make one rotation each week and run it friday and staurday. the biggest problem with the custom maps is that people don't know them very well. To me this is part of the charm, being forced to adapt to a new environment, discovering a new path that no one else may know about yet. But for those who don't like this quality, the only way they are going to enjoy the maps is if they actually get to play them enough they learn their ends and outs. If we limit the rotation, and actually play a few of the maps a few times in a weekend, it would help them learn the ins and outs of the maps. What do you guys think?
