He said in one of the discussions on forum that he's gonna release the Canada map before the February with all of its models.

Hi everyone!,
Just wanted to ask Nelson if/when are you going to release the models (the trains ;) ,school, etc) to implement in our maps... Just wanted to know a release date :P

I dont see how he couldnt know. Its a pain so I dont currently use any custom objects. When workshop comes out all the wonderful things will happen :)

Ok, so I just realized that the custom objects are not included in the map files. To make the other players collide with them and see them - they have to have them inside their bundles folder. So basically if someone doesn't have some model (even the original ones, not the custom) - he can shoot/walk/see through it walls - which is basically a cheating. Does Nelson know about it yet?

I am trying to name a location on smileyland for each member of this group but I am struggling with some of the names.

Names I'm struggling with:

I Like trains (but when train model comes out that'll be sorted :)

Mr Zombie (with a location called zombie is should be totally swarmed but need more zombie content)

Zenuel (I've tried to think of a location which sounds right but ut doesnt seem to fit.

any ideas?

Everyone else currently has a location :)

So yeah, anybody else experiencing troubles with 'insane' sized maps? I can barely work with landscape on it, it crashes constantly and also there is huge lag during material painting.
I send my crashreports to Nelson through reddit, but he never replies, so I have no idea was it any good.

But shared map has a lock on it, and you cant unlock it without insane map with your own insane map code, I think. not sure though.

Yeah the random questions thread is good, perhaps I should make the help and tips board into two seperate boards?

As for resizing, there may be a way, but it would have to be done by the game itself, not just by re-arranging files. It would be great if we could resize maps in the editor, although they would come out all blocky and the items would be much farther apart then they were before...

Best of luck, but you may just have to stick with your current map size if you want to keep the level of quality up.

Thank you Axton, but your method is not an option since my map almost finished. I guess I need somehow contact with Nelson, because Im sure ability to change size for existing map is necessary feature for editor. (also maybe we should open thread for random questions?)

Well, if you just make a new map with a larger size, then copy the folders (ONLY THE FOLDERS NOT THE LEVEL.DAT) from the old map into the new map, it puts the old map in the upper corner of the new map. You could try resizing the heightmap but it would result in choppy terrain and it wouldn't work right if you have spawns, objects or roads on the map already.
