Collection of Cool Space Engineer Workshop Mods

A few of us have been playing a good deal of Space Engineers lately and I noticed that workshop has a lot of cool mods. I made a collection of the cool looking stuff so I could share it with everyone else.
And we have a 24/7 server with a few slots so if you ever want to hop on and see what we've been up to or join in, let an admin know and we can help get you set up :)
COLLECTION: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=305529857

Who Would be Interested in a DnD Campaign?

We're thinking about running a DnD Campaign, something we've had a decent amount of success with in the past, and I want to know who would be interested in this sort of thing. It would probably be a weekly or bi-weekly, with sessions lasting around 2-3 hours.

We'd be doing it more than likely via "Fantasy Grounds" which is available on Steam, although I have yet to figure out exactly how we'll go about doing that (there are a few different options for getting it to everyone, the preferred one that I'd purchase the DM version so anyone can join without needing to purchase a player license) but its a very well made system with the 3.5 rule set built in. It provides a lot of really great features to make the systems simpler to understand for new players and to keep a campaign or adventure saved across multiple sessions.

If you want to check out the program, there's a free demo that will let you boot up the system, and check out how some of it works.

Please message jArmAhead if you're interested. Once we get enough people who are on-board we'll have a session on TS to introduce people, get the party laid out and help people create characters and figure out when people would be available.

For those who don't know, I (jArmAhead/Byron) am a fairly experienced DM, I've made a lot of adventures and I've run a few sessions with older members of this community. If you have any questions about how I generally run a game or more information on what DnD is like, feel free to ask. If you're on the fence hopefully I can help you figure out if it's really something you'd be interested in.

Major update to AGM!

AGM just got a major update with lots of new goodies[www.armaholic.com]. Several mechancis we had back in the ACE 2 days are coming in, as well as some new exciting ones. My personal favorite is the addition of map tools, which should allow for much easier low-tech navigation. Download ASAP!
While you're updating that, I'm going to go ahead and push Niko's US Uniforms Megapack[www.armaholic.com] to the community. I've done enough testing myself to ensure this won't cause problems and it's an excellent pack that gives us access to way more camo patterns for various operational environments. It'll even let us play as older units which is something I want to get into a bit as well.
Both the updated AGM and the US Uniforms pack are expected to be downloaded by this weekend if you take part as they will likely be featured in missions.

Training Literature by Jarrad96

Our very own Jarrad96 was kind enough to write up a good overview of basic teamwork:

TEAMWORK GUIDE

I've also added a few notes for clarification. This is pretty much how we teach our guys to operate in the field and lately it's been clear that these fundamentals need to be reinforced more.
I encourage you to peruse the post, ask questions on the thread, and get ready for some more training as we have some new folks that have yet to go through the training course. All players are expected to go through the training mission even if they have previously run the mission, to keep people up to date on expecations and the like.

Thanks to Jarrad for the post.

Looking for Testers for NEW Arma 3 Addons

We're getting to the point where I have enough new and interesting addons I want to add to the community's list. If you're interested in being a part of the group that helps test and give feedback on addons, let me know! I will also record full testing sessions and upload them to Youtube with markers for all of the different addons as we play with them, so people who don't play can still give a bit of feedback.
If you are interested in helping test out new addons and suggest new ones, comment here on when the best time for you to help test them would be within the next week. Obviously Saturday evening is already scheduled for our regular weekend operations, which will not run any new addons other than the Fallujah map, which most players should already have.
If you want to suggest an addon, you need to be willing to take part in the testing session unless someone agrees to put it forth for you. This rule is intended to make sure that more regular and available players have more say in addons than others, and to make sure people are willing to show why the addon should be involved instead of an offhanded suggestion.
I will be posting a forum thread on the Arma board with the initial list of addons, and people can suggest any addons they want. Anything you suggest will be required for those people who are testing so make sure you check the list occasionally or at the very least 24 hours before the test session so you have the addons ready BEFORE we start our testing session.
24 hours before the session is the cut off point for suggesting addons for the month's addon testing session.

ArmA 3 Advanced Flight Dynamics

The new flight model has been implemented in the Developer Branch. Pilots are encouraged to get used to this new, advanced flight model as it will be implemented sooner or later into our missions.
Just make sure you switch back to the normal branch before any organized operations, as we won't be running missions using the new stuff unless specifically stated before hand.

In order to access the new Flight Model, go to the "Game" options menu and change the settings to enable some of the new settings. I would encourage everything set to on, including auto-trim. This should allow non-sim pilots to get used to all of the dynamics, without quite overwhelming them.

This said, piloting will be much more dependent on analogue controls. If you don't have access to some sort of analogue controller, you're going to have a hard time flying, more so than before.

Once some of our more experienced pilots get to grips with the new flight model, I'd like to spend some time helping new pilots learn the ropes, but it helps to get any experience you can. Even if you crash a lot any practice is great.
