David vs Goliath Event:

Requirements:

Both players need to have forgotten due to treaty on 40 minutes being possible to implement:

Rules:

Both legion and unity grunts can challenge eachother. If a player declines one point are retracted from their point score, wich they need for the rise to glory, ladder. This is to encourage competition across both sides of the ladder.

Format:

A legionaire and a grunt agrees on a civ that both will play. They do as always need at least 1 spectator to validate the result. The map is Arabia, Size is tiny, resources, map visual is on normal. Mode: conquest. Treaty on 40 minutes:

Legionaires are prohibited from using anything but trash. Grunts have access to anything aside from siege, this includes trebuchets, bombard cannons, and any cannon galleons. Petard and demo ships are allowed.

This gives the grunts a huge advantage over the legionaires and will create fluctuation between the ladders.

I hope you like the format and will participate actively.

A win is rewarded with a point to your rise to glory pot.
New and updated house rules exclusive for the legion, bomb points and more:

Welcome to your new quarters peasants. This is where you are forged into warriors, worthy of fighting in the fiercest frontlines. But to survive the fiercest fronts you need your teammates to be there, alive and kicking.. and it wouldnt hurt if they brought their best soldiers.

Because of this fact, the first rule will be

House rules:

1. If you win a game but lost teammates before doing so. You gain one bomb point ( I will get back to what a bomb point means later on )

Second we can have fun and muck about, but remember its easy to get a bad reputation in the process, be looked at as trolls or morons but you are also reflecting your behavior on the clan as a whole.. That rumor can turn into people refusing to join lobbies etc. Thus the old house rule will be tweaked slightly:

2. Be polite and friendly towards allies, as well as toward opposing teams. Breaching this rule is rewarded with two bomb points.

If the other team tries to troll or flame, or spam 8 for that matter. You can use !mute, or simply ignore them.

The next rule is natural to mention in this regard:

3. Keep taunt spam in the lobby to the minimum, breaching this rule is rewarded with a bomb point.

4. If the team want to surrender, it must be unanimous.

This one could seem harsh I agree, but its also necessary. Besides if you keep good communication with your team (encourage instead of debase or flame/being negative) they will understand and maybe even agree with your plea.

5. Internal conflicts will be resolved with one of the officers or clanleaders (mortal or carnage)

6. Teammates can now report you to moderator for severe rule breaches. Depending on severity these will give you a number of bomb points appointed by the moderator, it doesnt need explaining that a moderator cannot report from a game they had been a part of.

Tournys/Training grounds/Academy:

This clan has always been about camaraderie instead of mere competition. If you play a game you did not enjoy, the outcome is irrellevant. So we should all try and improve ourselves, not just as players but as teammates. I want an open and trustworthy community and voicing opinions and disagreements is something I encourage, that said. I have personally amongst with some others (not mentioning names) done this inside a game.

Without going into detail, this can ruin a game, the experience, the level of concentration, the outcome of the battle and it can escalate into conflict, ive seen it before and its completely unnecessary.

Tourny Format:

I want everyone to take part in the new tourny system. A win grants you 1 point. Format is: Arabia, tiny (2 player) size, normal on resources, map visual, mode: conquest. Civ is always Huns and you need at least 1 spectator to validate results. You can play each legion member 2 times in a month. At the last day of the month the points will be summed up (I will try and keep register but try also to keep a document for your own so we can compare). At the end of the month if you have highest score you get to have taunt 17. in your name. To show everyone what a bigshot you are. And I get to shout 8 just to make fun.. I kid..

Bomb points:

Its quite simple, to discourage bad behaviour, black knight personas.. backstabbing or backtalking for that matter. Im gonna try out something new. If you get 10 bomb points you will be dropped from legion and will have to work your way back from scratch.

Finally I wanna voice the words from unity, the attitude that me and carnage decided this clan was going to have when it was only me and him.

Be fierce, be loyal, dont go down without a fight, help your teammate with any means and especially if he or she struggles. And always stay united, for there is strength in unity.

PS:

It looks like AOE2HD kingdoms, conqueror and forgotten empires are moving closer to become an esport. It would be really cool if we managed to qualify, altho we are miles away from acomplishing that yet.

PSS: More events and fun tournys are in the plans, keep yourself updated and check on the forums (here) from time to time.

- Sincerely yours 8 Mortal IX -
