I just want to talk to you about the game, ground rules, setting and stuff so you're not left scratchign your head when you /are/ creative, but I'm not around. Plus having smoeone for idea bouncing massivly helps creativity.

Oh, I wasn't suggesting that they throw money at CoX when they are clearly haemorrhaging cash and customer faith. But 1) Claiming they tried everything to sell it is blatant, lying ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and, 2) they could at least have sun-set it properly, like with the Coming Storm hitting with full force and then dropping the curtain. Rather than 'Oh yeah, we're shutting it all down now. Story left hanging, that's too bad, we have a boob-filled grindfest to throw at you instead bye!'

From a cost perspective completely remaking CoX would cost a fortune. A fortune that would barely if at all be funded by CoX's own revenue. I don't agree with NCSoft's handling of the shutdown but I think it's kinda silly to expect them to just throw money at Paragon to make a new game while they're losing money themselves.

Well, yeah. But FF is getting a total game overhaul from the sounds of it. Rather than being killed off.

Didn't CoX get Ultramode? Also Rangers are just pointless... Not only are they a magnet for a bot ban... They also completely under perform.

Well, FF XIV is getting revamped with a 'Let's blow the HD ♥♥♥♥ out of our world first!' treatment. CoH didn't even get anything...

Yeah the bot problem is at large. In all my years of MMO'ing I've never had the misfortune to encounter a bot. But in GW2 is so obvious it's horrific. Going Ranger with a Longbow and Bear pet is a death wish.

Normally, i've found ANet are quite good when it comes to customer support, though, looking at the forums, it looks like they got quite a lot on their plate, what with ordinary players having their accounts TERMINATED because someone or something thought they were a bot.

Maybe the key registration is handled by NCSoft?

Well, I would be playing Guild Wars 2, except I keep getting a "Haha your session timed out, idiot" error when I attempt to register the serial key.

I sent a ticket to support, and they said they'd look into it, but that was yesterday. How hard can it be to register a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ key to one account?

Yeah I dislike the new Spartan style.

At least Multiplayer is fun, I have to say. I'm just annoyed that the armour looks so 'meh' compared to Reach. And that the Mk VI is Campaign locked. Buggerit.

Two things are pissing me off immensely. Well, three.
1) AI accuracy. I say accuracy, they never need to try. They ALWAYS hit automatically. Which is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Especially when trying to use a vehicle and every Grunt with a plasma pistol can ♥♥♥♥ you up. But you try shooting a Banshee with one, oooh no. Can't have that.

2) Prometheans. ♥♥♥♥ me, the Knights are worse than the Elites. At least Elites are, as ever, vulnerable to the old Plama-headshot combo. Which is what tricked me into thinking Legendary wasn't actually too bad; ever since running into the Promethean's it's been uphill in the pissing hard-light weapons...

3) Vehicles. I try and use them, they die in about ten seconds. Enemies use them, they are all indestructible juggernaughts of destruction. And it doesn't matter when I get in behind a Banshee and start mashing it, it's allies get me instead. FML.

That's how it goes when the difficulty is dependant on the AI. It has to cheat like crazy or be swept away. Reminds me of old RTS games where it had infinite resources, could build instantly and so forth. Made depriving them of income a pointless tactic.

Didn't realise you had to complete bloody Legendary to unlock the Mk VI armour for Multiplayer....I should have gone with my instinct and just launched into Legendary straight away. Heroic was plenty bloody hard towards the end, but Legendary is going to seem like slaughter now...ugh. Bloody cheaty AI that never misses and does stupid amounts of damage...

ALL THESE RATS!

I dread trying to do a solo Legendary playthrough. Heroic is much more punishing than I remember it being.

I just got mine, the postman arrived just as I was unlocking the door.

Apparently they don't return to the same post office at the end of the rounds or something. So they end up a few towns over. I guess 20 hours lets them get it back to St Albans the next day.
Still ruddy stupid, if they told me where it would end up I could have gone got it. Meh, oh well.
