Exactly why it's used....every country in the world teaches it, it's the main language of the UN, UN capital is America (New York), UN started by English based nations, why would we speak another language?

I would enjoy english as the only language in the RP please, it is the universal language afterall.

YOUR examples rely on few countrys 2 of the superpowers no 4 speak all diffrent languages

so just stop ignoring the Regiments of those countrys
I'd imagine it'd be like the Civil war and the german and irish Regiments Obviously were there and the german regiment spoke their native Toungue now i know the army has changed a hell of a lot since 1863 But this most likeley would not

Europe places they speak english primarily England places in africa that speak english - south africa places in north america that speak english MURICA Canada

Know we aren't doing that, most languages have been abandoned and soldiers assimilated into random areas. The Unified Earth government was made to seperate and diversify the Earth, it was made to unite and secure under one.

There will be many divisions and regiments with nationalites of various United Earth realms, even colonial.

Though if we are doing this, I want a damn 'Propojka-Peklo' Division. (Helljumper in Czech...I guess even better would be a Vysadkar Regiment, literal translation being Paratrooper, or even Orbitalni Utok Vojaci, Orbital Assault Troops.)

I belive to add extra deep detail some divisions could be Somewhat German such as a Scorpion PANZER Division of all german marines who are rough as hell

Well English would be a universal language. Assuming the UNSC evolved from the modern day UN, which uses English as a pretty universal language.

He has a point, and don't worry there are accented people at the least throughout the Halo Series. Most Notably: During Reach and ODST, Being in South Africa you do hear some accented marines and during Reach I have heard accented SPARTANs and in the Books it even details about that so, it's details.

Yes but even if its the Unified earth i doubt the universal language and accent would be american as hell :P

Oooh that'd be cool. The marines from different Colonial backgrounds could side with the colonists in opinion if they are an outer colonist.

Maybe we should do a planetary tension thing, where the colonists are suspicious of the Inner planet people and vice versa

I'd wager some Spartan-III's be available, (1-2) at most and maybe even one Spartan-II.

Anywho, notable characters? I wouldn't expect to many to be played as or for there to be many mentioned but with special cameos. There is always room to create an OC Spartan-II or III as the Halo Universe does give a very small amount of room to do so.

Now besides that, I can't wait for this to kick off.

I wouldnt expect notable characters to be playable to begin with. Also mentioning that most of the S-IIIs are KIA or MIA is irrelevent. I do see where this is going, also must not forget that ODSTs are Marines(as I see you already stated that in the apps), so when including the UNMC, the ODSTs and other things(like Force Recon, etc) associated with the UNMC is also included.

It's December 2552 so it won't be that long (UNMC Boot Camp should just be finishing up [the plan is to have a few session to sort of give people a taste of the RP]) and most Spartan IIIs are KIA or missing but this RP isn't meant to involve TOO MANY notable characters as players

Well technically the "last" SPARTAN-II, even then Grey Team is just missing and a lot of the main SPARTAN-IIs are somewhere on Onyx. There is still a team of SPARTAN-IIIs around(again on Onyx), and such. SPARTAN-IVs arent active yet until 2553.

Well this RP is supposed to focus around Marines, but remember the last Spartan just disapeared. I'm planning to start off with at least a few Marines and then open up some limited sign ups for ODSTs and SPARTAN-IVs

So since this is 2552, that means units such as SPARTAN-IIs, SPARTAN-IIIs, and ODSTs are available. Right?
