Well, grab one that supports a High amount of RAM (Memory), Good amount of PCI(e+Standard) slots, and high enough capacity to withstand an On-par processor. Advanced BIOS features are nice... or even DualBIOS.
Also, make sure that damn thing allows for upgrade options.

CrossFire would be sexy... (allows you to run 2-3 videocards at once).
Acceleration is sort of useless, unless you have ♥♥♥♥-loads of Total Power.

I honestly don't care about which Brand of Processor, but I prefer AMD's newest ones... Although that's irrelevant here.

High Def. Audio; SATA Drive connections. I could go on and on...
