I agree with Kynaro. We rent for the short-term to see how we all get along and if it can even work long-term, and if it does we pool some more cash and buy a small bit of land to form a complex.

I still say that, after a small scale test, a complex would be the only sensible plan for the long term.

Read the thread, it would be more of a community. I would opt for a warehouse or a huge set of lofts though, a mansion would be insanely expensive.

Oh yeah, I hope this pulls through. It would be an interesting social experiences even if it's a failure. We were thinking of buying land, then setting up a complex of sorts. We could rotate occupants as well, to help keep it going year round.
