I have provided a condensed version of instructions below for the event on Thursday. I have no doubt there will be issues in setup. Lend me some patience as this is a great opporunity to get a higher player count, learn some new things about Arma, and have fun.

If you run into issues and want help during setup, I would be happy to do so. If you see me on steam at anytime, I will be available, regardless of what I am playing.

Please do not wait until 8:00 PM EST on Thursday to setup, as I will not be available to help.

1) Subscribe to Bozcaada
2) Launch ARMA 3 from steam until you get to bohemia's launcher.
3) Close ARMA 3 launcher. Bozcaada is now in your mod folders.

A3Sync will ask for your path to ARMA on first startup. Typically should like something like below:
ex. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3\arma3_x64.exe

1) Open A3Sync
2) Navigate the repositories tab
3) Select "Add a new Repository"
4) Copy this into the "Public auto-config url":
http://testarma.site.nfoservers.com/testbaserepo/.a3s/autoconfig
5) Click the "import" button.
6) Click ok to finish

Keep in mind this is the only repository necessary.
----DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANY OTHER REPO----

1) Navigate to the repositories tab
2) Select the Base Repo
3) Press connect to repo button to the right
4) Ensure your default directory is mapped to the arma 3 game folder:
ex. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma
5) Select "Select All"
6) Select "Download Addons" (should be ~800MB)
7) IGNORE ANY PROMPT TO UPDATE TFAR
8) Wait for installation to complete

1) Launch A3Sync
2) Select the "Addons" Tab
3) Click on the "modsets" button on the upper right
4) Check the Base Repo and hit ok
5) In the "Addons Optioons" tab, select @CBA_A3 and from the "Addon priorities" box click the uparrow until it is at the top.
6) On the left panel of the "Addons" tab, open the !workshop folder and drag @Bozcaada to the right side (it will now reside in the Base Repo)

Make sure the Base Repo is checked and click start game from A3 Sync.

I have made changes to ACE based on feedback. Overall these changes move ACE further left on the “fun to realism” scale. I would like to continue testing and making adjustments, but am open to removing if the mod proves to add more work that its worth.

I only want to add fun mods. I have no desire to be a milsim server, or head in that direction. However, ACE3 provides a lot of utility to players, map editors, and server administrators.


Stamina
The changes below reduce the time players spend out of breath, recovering, and reduce the penalty for carrying additional items.

-Performance factor increased by 50% (higher is better)
-Recovery factor increased by 50% (higher is better)
-Load Factor reduced by 25% (0 is better)
-Terrain gradient factor reduced by 25% (0 is better)

Medical

I altered several values on players and the medical system itself. These changes will drastically reduce the time spent bandaging, injecting, and transfusing.

-Bleeding coefficient set to 0 (blood loss no longer exists, no need for blood bags)
-All players are now doctors.

This means everyone has noticeable speed improvements in bandaging and injecting. The medic class is no longer required to revive players, instead acts as before providing increased supplies and dedicated role if necessary.


Below are some additional things I am working on that I know can be achieved, but might take time.

-Add spectate camera while incapacitated
-Reduce the complexity of ACE repair

Beginning Saturday, February 25, we will be replacing the Outlow Mag Repack mod with ACE3. ACE3 offers several advantages that will address many concerns of our group, including the following:

• BLUFOR tracking will mark squad leader positions on squadmates’ maps
  
• Nametags will appear above each player to ease identification issues
  
• When in use with Taskforce Radio, a soundwave effect is shown above the nametag to identify the speaker
  
• Includes its own simplified repacking system
  
• Player mobility enhancements (i.e., Shift+V for a running vault)
  
• Weapon recoil adjustments
  
• Combat deafness and ringing (earplugs available)
  
• AI realism overhaul
  
• Player revive system

We plan to post a concise guide for those members who are unfamiliar with the mod. There is currently a known conflict that will produce an error between RHS assets and ACE3, however, this will only affect advanced balistics.

We are going to be recruiting other members shortly, so if you have comments regarding mods, please voice them now. We want a stable modset that we can be content with in the long run. As always group members are free to invite whoever they believe will be not an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
