Two Years of Fidelity!

Hello my dearest Fidelity members,
This is a post to "celebrate" the 2 year anniversary of Team Fidelity.

We have gone through alot of changes these last two years, starting from silver and slowly ranking up, changing many line-ups, friendships have developed and that is the most important part to me. Even though I personally don't talk to alot of you I appriciate all of the time we have spent together even though not all of them have been the best of times.

Everything that has happend throughout this time have taught me alot of things about trying to manage a team and hopefully at some point in the near future I will be able to revive this team and make it more succesful than ever, continuing the climb to the top.

But enough about that shit, let's take a look back at the Fidelity timeline.
(Feel free to skip this part if you are not intersted, there is some good stuff at the bottom)

Late November, 2014: Team was created by Limey (me) and my good ol' buddy Cenniy. Steam group "Team Fidality" was made and we started looking for members. The first lineup consisted of Limey, Cenniy, Shiina, LeGGo and Simonax.

December 2014: Fidelity entered OSL (Online Silver League) where we met our good friends from Samcro, who deranked on purpose to be able to beat us in the final, making us place 2nd. After this tournament we had many hopes for the future but sadly changed the lineup slightly, introducing Afro to the team. We also made a Facebook and a YouTube channel... yes, we took ourselves quite seriously.

Febuary 2015: Enters the GWUK tournament, being filled with all sorts of diffrent ranks. This tournament we were mostly carried by a player called Deadeye, who later went off his own way. We ended up getting to the semi-finals in this tournament. Pretty decent for Silvers and GN's. Kostka_CZ joins the team late Febuary.

Rest of 2015: The team was rather dead, swapping out players now and then and just playing MM together for the most part, slowly improving together. Raskli joined the team later in the year.

Start of 2016: I, Limey, got the genius idea of trying to start up several teams under the Fidelity name. Creating 1 new team at first, Red. Then another... and another. Green and eventually Yellow. It was a rough patch with several people leaving or being removed, teams being inactive and arguements between friends. I wish to apologize to those I treated unfairly during this period, I tried to do what was best for the team.

June 2016: All teams were disbanded besides one. I was done trying to fix the other teams, when the plan originally was to have all the teams work together but still be indivual teams. I wanted to focus on my own team instead, and so everyone who was interested could show their own interest and create their own team under the Fidelity name if they wanted.

November 2016: This is where we are now, a seperated community with players who barely play with eachother (I asume this is the case), besides the players in out current line-up.

I want to thank two people in particular in this post who has meant alot to me through this journey.

Jamie "Cenniy", for always being there and supporting me even if he hasn't been in all the rosters. Thanks for giving me a whole lot of laughs from since we started talking and up to this day. Most certainly one of the best friends (and lover ;)) I have ever had the pleasure of having around me in my whole life.

Luke "Kian", for sticking with me these last few months. I have many times wanted to give up after players have left the team, leaving only the two of us at one point. Thank you for sticking around, even if I was playing shit and our teams went to shit. It means alot to me.

Honorable mentions: Dinka, Simonax, Dragon, Afro, Raskli and Paranoia. Lots of love to all of you, and best of wishes for the future, whatever it may hold in store for you.

Finally I want to thank EVERYONE who has been in any of the teams for their time they have spent here with me through this thing called Fidelity, it has been a real experince to have gotten to work with all of you.

Just because you aren't specifically mentioned here doesn't mean I don't appriciate you, 'kay? So don't cry

Disbanding Teams & Second Chances!

Hello Fidelity members!

This is going to be a very serious post again.
I made a post 9 days ago about the new rosters.
This was mostly to see who was actually active at all in the teams and still had interest in playing under the Fidelity banner.

It has become pretty clear that around 70% of our players aren't very active within the teams. This is nothing that bothers me, but I think it is insanely unfair to those who are in the teams that actually want to play the game and play with their teams.

I have given many players second chances, not so much that I have said it to them. But some have been inactive, come back and showed interest and then disappeared again. The reasons don't matter too much, the issue still remains. I have full understanding that you might have work, school or other activities that you want to do but then talk with your teammates and inform them so they can move on and do what they really want to do instead of always having a teammate that doesn't ever show up.

Therefor I am REMOVING BOTH RED AND GREEN ROSTERS FOR NOW untill enough players are showing interest again.

Now some might be wondering about BLUE and I am pleased to inform you that this is the best team I have played in by far yet. You might think it was selfish of me to take all the best players I have found and put them in my own team but every team has had the same opportunity as I have, I went out and found new players for my team. You guys can do the same. I am not going to force any more rosters to play with eachother. It is now up to you guys to make them yourselves.

If YOU have any friends that want to play in Fidelity, send me a message and I will invite you and the other players to the steam groups. For now all members who were in the steam groups will be kicked and filled with time (hopefully). If not, I will simply have to accept that this multi-team thing doesn't work.
Maybe it would if I was a full time manager, but I am a player just like everyone else here, and I want to enjoy playing with my team without having to worry about how everyone else is doing.

I am glad to help out a little but not to the same extent as before where I would do everything for you. But I can hook you up with players if they are willing to join the team.

Fidelity Rosters for Summer 2016!

Hello Fidelity members,

Everyone has recently been waiting for the new rosters to be announced.
I have put alot of thought into the rosters. Hopefully they will work out.
As you will see Fidelity UK won't be on the list. The UK players, from what I have understood, are not too interested in attending LANs at the moment. Therefor we will have Blue, Red and Green like originally.

As you can see Fidelity BLUE includes 3 new members which I have picked up throughout the previous month and that I would like to continue playing with for now, including Dragon.

I have put many of the older members in this team. I believe it will be a good mix of players, with both individual skills and brains. I have played alot with many of the players in this team and I have alot of confidence that this will be a great line-up if everyone puts their best efforts into playing together.

An old Fidelity veterans from our very first line-up comes back here, everyone welcome back LeGGo. This team is going to be very hit and miss. It is players which I wasn't too sure where to put, but from what I have seen they will probably be able to put up a fight against BLUE and RED.

And finally I want to add that you CAN TRADE PLAYERS with the other teams if it is something you might want to do. Leaders are going to be up to the teams to pick themselves, as asigning the role has proven not to always be the best idea.
Kicking players has to go through me (Limey) before the player is removed from the roster.

I hope everyone will be okay with these teams. If there are any problems please do contact me. I don't want to hear any "I don't want to play with these guys" after the first week. Give your teammates a chance.

IMPORTANT FIDELITY MEETING! 04-06-2016!

Suh Fidelity members,

On saturday, the 4th of June, we will be having an important meeting about the future of Fidelity and possible roster changes.

Everyone who is a part of one of our teams, or have been contacted about becoming a part of one should all be there!
If you are not at the meeting you won't able to make your voice heard at the time of the decisions.

I want everyone to bring a good mood and respect eachothers opinions. Everyone will be free to speak their mind. Give eachother time to speak, don't interupt others while they say what they need to say.

As of what we will be deciding on is rosters for all FOUR teams.
You read it correctly. Four teams.
Today (29th of May 2016), Fidelity YELLOW was created. This is an all UK team for people who will hopefully be able to attend lans together in their region.
Which brings me to the next topic.

I want all the players in a team to be as close together as possible. This may result in roster changes. Exceptions can be made, depending on what the players want to do in the future with lans etc.

I have had the thought about the idea of having a Fidelity ladder for a while. By this I mean that the teams compete against eachother every weekend, facing eachother to climb the ladder and at a point get a prize if they are on the top and then restarting the ladder.
I think this would be a cool thing to do and it would give all the teams time to practice against another team, which will be good for everyone involved.

We will also bring up the 1v1 tournament that I decided not to finish. I am again terribly sorry for this and I hope we can come up with a way to finish it or give it some sort of closure.

NOTE: The awp map has been changed to AWP_India as problems with spawn and weapons glitching through walls appeared a problem on awp_row!

Matches are Bo3 where we will use 3 seperate maps for rifles, awp and pistol. Overtime will be 10 rounds.
ALL WEAPONS ON THE MAP IS ALLOWED FOR USE IF BOTH SIDES AGREE!!!

Fidelity 1vs1 Tournament! 14/5-16

Listen up, Fidelity members.

On Saturday the 14th to the 15th of may I, Limey, have planned a 1vs1 tournament for everyone interested!

The tournament will be in a group stage sort of fashion, Meaning that the 2 top players in their group will move forward and the bottom ones get knocked out. This is to let everyone play more than once and not get rekt instantly.
How many groups there will be depends on how many players are interested.
The games will be played on the map aim_wmap which a few of you have probably played on before.

This is not only for people in this steam group but for anyone interested in playing. Invite your friends, family and teammates!
The times will not be changed, so if you can't make it that is a shame.
The prize will be a 50 GBP amazon voucher for the winner, thanks for our sponsors Amazon for hooking us up with this prize!

This has been our first whole year together as a team (I know it's a bit longer)!

Finally the typo, thank goodness!

And yes, that is the only reason as of I made this newer, better, awesomerer version of the page. All updates and announcements will be made on here aswell as the game scheduled in the upcoming leagues, tournaments and practice scrims!
