hi
Shackleford 7 Sep, 2016 @ 6:09pm
TGP was the very first TF2 server I ever played on when I bought the Orange Box back in 2007. Long live TGP!

I stopped playing TF2 a while back but wanted to express my sincere thanks to Maestro & Post (& Hutch) for creating a gathering spot full of the best people to play TF2 with. I miss seeing the old gang & hope everyone is doing well.

Hey everyone, God here on my new account. Looking to gather up all of my old friends back. If you know me, add me. Make my job easier :P
Noob Owner 17 Nov, 2010 @ 7:50pm
well folio, we have all gone to separate servers unfortunately, but TGP site and ventrilo is still up.

This is a strange split community. It's like a Greek myth where from the blood of TGP came TGP4Life.
BUCKLE UP BUCKEROOS 17 Oct, 2010 @ 2:58pm
So, TGP shut down? I remember wanting to join one o the servers, but it was gone from my favorites list. Which made me search up there website to what was happening. Which eventually led me to this page. I'm a sad panda, I had so much fun on their servers.
Noob Owner 15 Oct, 2010 @ 11:23pm
yea, knowlogik server is the server where the TGP members head off to to play now. In a week or so, i will associate, with knowlogik's permission, TGP4L to his server. But i must ask him first for his permission
DarkFiber 14 Oct, 2010 @ 5:59pm
Cool! Thanks man. You should see me on there tomorrow around 5:00 EST or so. (assuming anyone else is)
DarkFiber 13 Oct, 2010 @ 3:06pm
We need to set aside a server similer to TGP's that we can all join in on that can act as a substitute for TGP (as best it can). If anyone knows a good one.

Damn this is a shame, but it looks like Maestro and the owners have done a good job, yes its a shame but heck look at all the fun u guys had playing on the servers, so this is a massive thanks to all the owners/donators and to everyone that made TGP the community it was..... it was something Hals could never achieve so they can suck it! You done a great job creating this community guys! Thanks so much. Cheers Maestro. :D
Well, I would like to say I'll miss it very much. Most of you people should know who I am.. (Justeen!) I don't really know exactly what to say or how to really feel about what is going to happen. I know I'll miss everyone and miss the atmosphere of being around all of you.. It really was the most fun I've ever had gaming. It's definetly not going to be easy finding a new place to settle down in like it was in TGP. I remember frenchie... the first time I joined a tgp server and going sniper and getting my ass kicked cause I was terrible.. and Post... who could ever forget that guy. Probably the most hated admin. in the world by some people but he was funny and hilarious and such an ass to everyone, which made everything so much better.

I know this is super long and I should shut up right about now... but everyone in the community is amazing, and I hope at some point we can all find a server where we are comfortable and just hang out and talk and do whatever. Later! <3

I remember being new to TF2 and joining a random server. Sneaky came on to that server and asked everyone to join his server. Affter that, I was hooked. Best community out there. Loved just chitchatting about nothing to the person I was about to stab. And Maestro is shutting down the servers because most of the core players had moved on. He wanted to keep TGP from becoming like Hals. That's why he's pulling the plug. All I can say now is I'm gonna miss these servers.
#skavenlivesmatter 27 Sep, 2010 @ 7:08pm
They're shutting down because Maestro got tired of paying 350$ a month, i think.
chaos_blasta 27 Sep, 2010 @ 6:59pm
Can't believe this is happening..

Although i wasn't on the group itself i loved the server since it always had a calm atmosphere and it was a lot of fun to play in there. Why are you shutting down? it's truly sad to see this, i loved to play here
Crispy Cowboy 27 Sep, 2010 @ 6:18pm
What Jholla said, it'll be hard finding players that were as cool as the ones on Dusty. Relaxed atmosphere, fun people, great map; it was truly the best Playground I've ever played on. I don't know what I'm gonna do TF2-wise from now on, but I doubt it will ever top my time at TGP.
egn 27 Sep, 2010 @ 5:28pm
found this server not long after getting TF2, good people and a good time. Spent most of my time playing on dusty. WIll be missed for sure. It's been fun, all the best
FluxCoat 27 Sep, 2010 @ 3:51pm
uhh welp the best of luck to everyone and well see each other in other servers and other battlefields
#skavenlivesmatter 27 Sep, 2010 @ 3:48pm
Quit a bit by the looks of it, boss
FluxCoat 27 Sep, 2010 @ 3:42pm
damn how long was a i gone..?
Jholla 27 Sep, 2010 @ 3:33pm
this sucks, all other servers have a bunch of retarded people on it, this one has nice people that don't flip out every time they die
Swaino 27 Sep, 2010 @ 8:05am
Steak brought me into TF2 and TGP. I joined back in 2008 and all I remember is Sneaky Snake! When I heard him it wasn't long after that I became friends with him, Lawyer, Funk, Mutual, Maestro, Omenz, and everyone else. Some players left and joined other groups and some new ones came in. All I can say is its been a very fun time. And I've gained alot of friends over the years. Hmmmm, we should all meet up somewhere. Like central USA and have a reunion?
Vintrell 27 Sep, 2010 @ 12:33am
Gonna miss this though. I had a lot of fun :P
#skavenlivesmatter 26 Sep, 2010 @ 11:09pm
Pretty much what lego said. TF2 was the game that got me back into PC games, and I've played on the TGP servers for close to 2 years. I'm not sad, though. I've learned that all good things must come to an end. While i think TGP is, and always will be the best TF2 community out there, its time to move on.

Anywho, R.I.P TGP, so many good memories, so many friends.
taylor 26 Sep, 2010 @ 8:47pm
I stop playing for 2 weeks and i come back to this... I cant stop crying
DarkFiber 26 Sep, 2010 @ 7:34pm
My memory of TGP:
I just Bought TF2, my first Steam Game. I started it up and looked at the server list. (Of course I looked for the low ping Servers) and Found TGP. After that, I kept coming back. I don't know quite why. I guess it might have the semi-sfiendly (lol jk, you guys were awesome) atmosphere, or how everyone was just there to have a good time, or the awesome (if not random and funny ) 'conversations' that took place. It made me feel as though there was a place on the big , expanse of TF2 servers where I belonged.
But above all, TGP, I will remember you as that thing that started my love of Valve and PC shooters over all. All you admins were (and still are) great. As well as (almoast) every other person on the TGP servers.
