Hey all - really glad to see you all here! I'm writing up the first "lesson" - though I might want to use Meet the Medic and Meet the Spy as an example. JonL - Thanks for joining/commenting! I'm really glad you heard about this!

Hi everybody. I make non-staged TF2 videos and am always trying to achieve the next level in filmmaking for my projects. My YT channel is http://www.youtube.com/user/BILLYMAYSSTEAM and I've just released my latest vid, TF2.5D. I thrive on criticism and it was a difficult project--so don't be shy!

Hey all - I wrote the replay system and was very excited to hear about this group. If there is anything I can do to help out, feel free to mail me at jonl@valvesoftware.com. -Jon

There is my video channel, it is all TF2 replays. the first vids I did were just derping around until I discovered that you can actually move the free camera around with a click of a mouse, and then moving on with usinf different FOVs.
All of these so far are pre-Über Update, but my first one post-Über Update will be up tomorrow.

I have no experience with any real flim making. I got my start by just recording demos in source and using virtual dub to do some cuts and that's pretty much it.

I don't usually add any music or special effects to my videos. http://www.youtube.com/user/mikeon314

Welcome everyone! What's everyone's experience? Are there youtube channels you can link to so we can all get an idea?

I want to run it like my film school experience (both as a student and teacher), and start developing the basics of filmmaking. However, due to the go anywhere 3D nature of the Replay Editor, there's a lot of potential here for storytelling. Also, I used to be a sports shooter/editor so using the Replay Editor to publicize competitive e-Sports also would be interesting. I'd like to start with any thoughts on the subject.
