The plan at the moment is to have everything finished by friday which is why we are sort of pushing to get things done.

@QuickSkope: I've missed you by an hour or 2 the last few days, wanted to talk to you about organising the server. I'm gonna have a quick look through the 4 hosts you suggested in a previous post and I'll pay for the server so we can start getting it set-up to use.

You also didn't miss too much in the meeting anyway, but yea I understand it's a bit hard to try to plan a meeting that everyone can attend.

Hopefully once everything is up and running smoothly it will be a lot easier for people to discuss things as we can just make threads in the admin section of UTC. There is just more of a rush for things to get completed at the moment so it's a bit hard to have 3 meeting instead of one (1 meeting for each timezone and 1 for meeting between timezones).

QuickSkope, most people at the time thought typing the whole name in the URL was a bit much, and tf2utc looks very random and I think that is why the - was added. I don't mind paying for it to get changed but it should be what the majority wants. And as Chaos said we needed something that we could actually get started on. I don't think it's right to drag this process out and make John wait to close UHC, but we also need it done properly. I'll make an announcement and us UHC admins can make our vote on both URLs.

@DataStorm I find mediafire offensive and I have a premium account with fileserve and it also acts as a double backup for me which is easily accessable for me.

Host Gator is Pretty good, I used it with an old site, so that we will probably stick with.

I run my own minecraft Server with a Mix of PHPMYAdmin, MySQL for Databasing. SSH might be useful, depending on who we have running everything.

Honestly, I find VB PRETTY Costly, and ATM, with this Starting of a new community, we probably should stear Clear, until we establish some steady donations to keep us afloat.

So, Hosting and Databasing Shouldnt be a problem, but we need to figure a way to work the Donations without VB for the Time Being, if possible.
