Space Engineers Update 100!

Today saw the release of Space Engineers 1.100 which added for us Drones and Pirate Bases and some additional preparation for planets.

With this update and due to the recent reduction in players playing on the server, I would like to put an note out to the group to ask the following two questions:

1) Do we still want this server?
2) Do we want a reset to get rid of all the chaff on the server and reduce the server size?

Please let me know what your opinion is in either direction.

State of the Server - 8/7

I just wanted to start by saying thank you all for joining me on this adventure into Space Engineering. I haven't played in multiplayer, but I have enjoyed it immensely.

Now onto news.

Since most folks have ceased to play, our world was filled with tons of junk floating about. This was causing some load time issues. While also reviewing potential options to replace the Lag Generation machine known as the Auto Welder, I found a shipyard mod that allowed for a cleaner creation of ships. In order to have this, we needed to have access on the server of a server utility set and, after review, our host did not provide.

As such, using some of my OT cash, I grabbed us a new host. This new host supports the infrastructure we need to add the shipyard engine. I am currently working on getting that resolved, but in the mean time, we now have a new server to work with. I also splurged for high priority CPU access to help speed things along on the server.

As I dont want to post the address here publicly, please contact me via Steam Chat and I will get you the new address or you can join on other members of the group who are on the server.

I have also done yet another mod audit and have added a few new toys and removed some of the ones we werent using at all.

And now for the item that is going to anger some. As I moved hosts, I had the world migrated, but I found that most of the things were gone (I still do have a backup of the original locally for reference). As such and due to the junk level on the old server for people who stopped playing, I have decided that it is time for a full reboot.

What does that mean? The old world is no more. We have a new world that is empty and ready for us to do whatever we want with. So that we aren't completely starting over, I did spawn us in a few things to begin with. This main facility wil be free ported and available for anyone to use.

I would encourage people to work in small groups to establish their own facilities so that we can have the option of PVP down the road should it be desired.

Now I know you all hate me for removing all your stuff, but I do hope you will all join me in this new adventure.
