It's okay, life happens. I've been digging around and learning how to better work phBB, I'm looking to upgrade the software and then put together a custom skin for us. It'll take a heck of a lot of time though, and my laptop is currently kaput, so I haven't got any of the header images I was able to make previously.
Still, I think it's well worth the effort to try and reboot the board,

Yeah, I understand what you mean completely.

We can always use more people, I just wish we'd been able to wrap up the hurricane event, cause there was going to be a cool mad science horror event right after it. We needed to use the hurricane to uncover the submeged door.

I guess I could throw out some advertising for Swamp Rat to attract newcomers, if you like. I think we may definitely need some new people to pick up the slack; we'll almost be starting a whole other era of Swamp Rat again, if the history preceeding my arrival is anything to go by.

Over my dead body. I'm still paying for the server, and while I might not seem all that active atm, I am in no way ready to give up on Swamp Rat in any way shape or form. The Hurricane event is slogging, but all the other forums are open and there's always room for more people to come in and play if they so wish.

...Wow. I was aware that people were occupied in real life. Maybe checking every once in a while to if anyone else had posted, even showed up in the Swamp Rat forum wasn't too much. But with every time I go there I feel like I'm entering a graveyard.
I've joined a fair share of forum roleplays, and right now they are all silent, dying. It's like I have some curse that kills every roleplay I join, forbidding them from having any proper ending. Perhaps most other people have already jumped ship covertly, but I at least want to hear one more thing from you guys...
Is it over? Can we really not support this any longer?
