In short; we never actually had expansion potential, since admo didn't endorse it wholly, so this pet-project of mine never really got far. Steam page here's been functionally inactive since '17, and I don't see it having a comeback in the midst of current events.

PS: If you're not already in it, Del, Caralantha started a Discord group for the vets here. It's also mostly quiet, but if you're wanting to do catch-up and reminisce on the past, that's almost assuredly the best spot.

For another, I'm afraid that a lasting expansion of the group into a wider community simply wasn't to be.

Cool of a guy as Admonish was (to date he's still the chillest guild/faction leader I've had the pleasure of working with), there's a... reason he was comparatively chill - I now think.
It's about excess ambition, see. A culture of competitive gamers.
Simply said, he didn't buy into it, and it's a key element to leading any group with aims to expand that broadly.
I believe that he was very simply a man who liked playing the game he played, content to let it play out however the wind carried it as long as it would do so. Considering I found the ingame guild still running back in '16, one way or another it had a good run. ^_^

Yeah, the guild is still alive. The primary GMs retired a month or so ago but from what I can see on the website, it's still alive.

I need to be honest with myself. I'm probably not hopping back on SK any soontime prolonged, do not need a reinv rerank, and I'll sorrowfully be out of question on the matter of running this with any effiiency and gusto.

I agree as they're called officers for a reason. If they hold some position of authority in our guild, then they should here as well.

dood, favoritism has nothing to do with it... all you gotta do is to promote officers from the guild as a steam group admin.

idk why you started a steam group when you're not 100% about it.

just do the next best thing --- promote a couple of the officers so they can access announcements and monitor discussions.

that way the workload is not all on you.

There's just it. Some of the officers have some interestingly different steamnames to IGNs. In regard to this, i'm sure to miss some. Then it'll all look like a game of favoritism. I don't want that ;)

why dont you promote the other officers on the members list? they can do that for you too!
