Not choosing the correct GPU
My PC has two GPUs, one is integrated with the mainboard and the other a RTX 5070 TI. When exporting videos from the recordings, steam always uses the integrated GPU instead of the faster 5070 Ti. If I disable the integrated GPU, then video exports all fail with error "Try again (2)." even if I turn off "Enable GPU hardware encoding" in the settings. It looks like a bug.
Please fix. Thanks.

Steam Beta Branch: Stable Client
Steam Version: 1751405894
Steam Client Build Date: Fri, Jun 27 7:07 PM UTC -08:00
Steam Web Build Date: Tue, Jul 1 2:19 PM UTC -08:00
Steam API Version: SteamClient022

Platform: Windows 11
GPU0: Nvidia RTX 5070 Ti
GPU1: AMD Radeon (Integrated)
What game you were playing: None. Games already exited. Just exporting.
Any other game recording software you are also using: No
The sequence of what happened and what you observed: Find a clip, click "Share" -> "Export Video File". Observing the GPU1 is in use instead of GPU0. If I disable GPU1, the export fails.

See https://v1.steam.hlxgame.cc/groups/SteamClientBeta/discussions/5/600769423993752534/

Seems to be an going problem with the RTX 50 series where the new encoder is not being utilised correctly. I have a 5090 and 3080Ti installed, and I can only use the 3080Ti for encoding, if I try to force 5090 or turn off the 3080Ti, then I get the same error as the thread.

I've not seen any acknowledgement so far that this issue is being worked on, but hopefully it's on someone's radar.

Just encountered this as well. I am using a RTX 5070 ti and when exporting a recording it's using my integrated GPU.
