off-topic: never accept any random request... dont click blindly on url's inside steam etc etc for security reasons

You accepted and then they removed you as a friend, if the chat is open for either of them, then you can still chat for some amount of time or until both close it. Not sure exactly what the mechanic is, like for example I get sometimes messages back from someone who I removed from friend list, even though I closed the chat, so I'm assuming they had the chat still open, but when they close it, they can't (shouldn't) get open it anymore.

Not sure how it works in browsers.

And it doesn't reset instantly, don't know how long it takes for it to ask you to login again.

You mistook my response as a gripe. It was sincere.

Most sensitive account data pages are locked behind another login. This was a GREAT decision for Valve to make.

Ok, my bad, hard to know most of the time.
Guess one time someone is being positive about something while telling the truth, instead of using sarcasm to convey their negative feelings.

I just wish every one of the account details pages (all tabs) were also locked behind an extra login verification...

Anyone find out why this is happening? I have had my steam account for 20 years and just seeing this now when I tried to message someone who added me as a steam friend. I messaged them to ask if I knew them before I accepted the friend request but got that "YOUR ACCOUNT DOES NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO SEND MESSAGES TO NON-FRIENDS"
