Audio crackling while exporting clips from steam game recordings.
Hello everyone!

I am using steam's in built game recording feature to record my gameplay's. They look and sound perfect while viewing them in steam, but when I export clips from it, the audio has crackling sounds. I tried exporting with different settings (all bit rates, audio codecs available from the list), but nothing worked for me so far.

It baffles me to see the audio is perfect is steam's recording but while exported, the crackling comes in.

I would be greatful if anyone have a solution for my problem. Thanks!

Disable automatic volume gain. This fixed it for me with my Wave 3

Thanks for the tip. I tried it, but still some crackling persists when I am exporting the clips.

But anyway, I moved to OBS for recording now. Its a bummer that the incredible features of steam's in-built recording cant be used to full extent. Thanks again!

Anyone else having this issue? Playing BF6 and excited to make some videos because playing with friends I haven’t in years. We had some great times the other night but all exports are garbled? Hasn’t been an issue before this with clips.

Exactly same issue here. The only different to you is that my audio is just garbled in some places instead of it being some audio crackling.

Other than that, just like you, the clip sounds completely fine in steam but the export has the garbled audio.
