Complete Apple Silicon compatibility

Now that there's native Apple Silicon applications can you update the bootstrapper app on the "Install Steam" page so that Steam can be installed and run entirely without installing Rosetta? Unless there's more components left to update as well? Thanks!

I would also like to see this. I have a new MacBook that I would like to avoid installing Rosetta 2 on, but the bootstrapper requires its install even if my first port of call is to move to the beta to test the Apple Silicon support.

It's either this or let me download the beta directly instead of installing the main build and then opting into the beta channel.

It looks like the bootstrapper has been quietly updated to a universal app as part of yesterday's (Oct 13th) beta release. Hopefully means that a clean install without Rosetta should be possible once this reaches the stable channel.
