Chromium browser windows spam open because of new steamwebhelper.exe bug.
Had this happen today when I launched steam and a bunch of Chromium browsers popped up. I thought it may have been malware at first, but I work in the IT field and keep my PC tidy so I thought it was unlikely. Looking it up I see the same issue reported by others on Reddit within the past two weeks (last major update). I personally have never had this issue before but it seems related to steamwebhelper.exe . Has anyone else experienced this recently? Thank you.

having the same issue, it seems disabling GPU accelerated rendering in web views in settings>interface "fixes" it.

edit: i'd also like to mention it hasn't started happening to me until about ~4 days ago. using windows 11
