It seems like since Steam's latest Steam UI overhaul, Steam group announcements and event posts are no longer popping up as a notification for any user.

Additionally, it seems like Steam added an extremely aggressive word and link filter to any Steam announcement post which makes the feature pretty much unusable - I'd like to ask them to fix the missing notifications issue and also make the announcement filtering algorithm a bit less strict.
