Sale again. It was suggested that the NO-CD 'Fix' fixes the problem but did not do so for me. Dungeon Siege II did the same thing but was simply fixed by copying the binkw32.dll from the games sub directory to the main directory. Will try a clean install with everything turned off.

Figured I should give you guys an update on how everything finally went down lol... Sega tried to help me find a way to fix it but all in all they could not come up with a way so they told me to contact Steam to get a refund... Instead of actually giving me a refund they told me to buy a game on Steam that was of equal cost or greater (I would have to pay for how much more the new game cost) and they would not charge me... So there you have it guys and gals.

They are giving me the run around I think... I did all the steps they advised and it still did not work. Sent them another message and still no reply.

"-Now disable your anti-virus programs through the configuration window using the following steps:
1. Under the start menu select ‘Run’
2. Type “msconifg”
3. Select the ‘Services’ tab
4. Uncheck anything related to your system protection/anti-virus
5. Select the ‘Startup’ tab
6. Uncheck anything related to your system protection/anti-virus"
-If you're installing the game as a download through the Steam client, simply go back to the "My Games" tab of the Steam client, right click on the game and select the option to re-download the game.

- Finally, reactive your antivirus by rechecking them in the config window and restarting your computer. Now attempt to run the game and check for changes in performance."

Sega finally sent me a message with a possible way to fix it.
"go to the "My Games" tab of the Steam client and right click on Space Siege, selecting "Delete Local Content". Afte the game is uninstalled use a registry cleaner like the one at www.ccleaner.com , you could also consider using the Disc Cleanup utility to make sure that anything related to the game has been removed. Be careful to only delete files, folders and registry key's related to the game, as deleting system files and keys can lead to system wide instability. If you aren't feeling comfortable then create a system restore point and use it if you feel you might have deleted something you should not have."

Glimmer 12 Sep, 2010 @ 11:41pm
Just bought this game and the damn thing won't even launch. Comes up with an error. Anyone got a fix for it as I see it's a common problem.
CAPMAX 12 Sep, 2010 @ 11:15pm
Well, I tried to buy the game, but apparently you need to have enough in PayPal to afford the game's regular price, even if it's being sold for much less? Maybe it's for the best, if everyone is having issues.
Coco 12 Sep, 2010 @ 10:12am
I just bought the game from stream and it won't even launch.
BOT pennywise1 12 Sep, 2010 @ 7:31am

CAPMAX 11 Sep, 2010 @ 6:12pm

Chronomaly 10 Sep, 2010 @ 11:08pm
Runs fine for me on Win7 x64 with a GTX260 gfx card. Try updating your drivers. ;)
BOT pennywise1 10 Sep, 2010 @ 8:37pm
Seems as though this is messing with people who have Win7 or Vista... Or it could just be that the game hates me...
Chronomaly 10 Sep, 2010 @ 1:17am

BOT pennywise1 9 Sep, 2010 @ 2:39am
Hey im getting the Space Siege Executable is not working. Found out this is rather common with the Steam side version to this game... Couldnt find a fix... Anyone know anything different?
ScootyMcPuffJr 8 Sep, 2010 @ 9:15pm
Buy it for the low price. It's entertaining, but really needs customizing the key map. Trying to use PGP for a joystick with my 360 controller. Not yet successful.
CAPMAX 6 Sep, 2010 @ 3:59pm
Hmm, I've never heard of this game. Hard to pass up a sale though. Can anyone give a run-down of the game for me?
Collateral 7 Jun, 2010 @ 11:58am
