My avatar used to be all rainbowish and distorted you could even see the distortion even though it's small lol Best settings are a 184x184 8bit per channel .jpeg of as high quality as you can get without it going over 22kb Managed to get it to jpeg lv6 3 scan progressive.

I never knew that. Why does avater quiality matter though? It's always too small to tell.

Lol I would have a 16 bit per channel PNG at 1920x1920 but Steam automatically downgrades picture quality so it's less for their servers to keep I guess. Theres a few tricks for optimal quality however.
