Ok i know that few people were happy about restart and i believe that I acted a little rashly so, brought back all the previous stuff that was there before the restart. In future i will ask everyone that still acually play before i do something like this again.

I am sorry everyone for being a little selfish and scatter brained. Thank you afroclint for the support, pity you were the only one :(. server name is set back to Freedom! and seans so easy for those who were not in group.

I am finding it hard to please everyone so please leave ideas that i can use to improve your gameplay.

hmm dont think any of us well want to restart too much was committed now gone...2 weeks of solid game paly including 8 other players......personally i would have waited till next patch to see if it may have helpped fix the problem

thanks sean, ill play again! restarts happen in early alpha im keen to try the new feautres after days of not being able to set up a create a world so your a life saver hope the server stays up!. been playing for few hours now and personaly think the skills progression needs to be turned up ive built two furnaces and only at 10.4 construction prep. also a 3000 skill cap would be nice :) Hope more players come back. :)

Sorry for the server downtime, did not get a chance to update everyone because I rushed out to deal with a family crisis. Its running again now.

For those who acually read the group. If you can't find Freedom! and seans on the list then look for Australian's Unite, this is the new name of the server next time it restarts.

Hi all - is the server up or pending the new updates?

Not sure what is going on with the server, but ive been getting timeout errors of an hour now.
A few times i have went to join it and it says there are 9 players on it, but it still times out.
Is it me, or is the server having problems? I can still join other servers ok so just wondering if anyone knows whats going on?

Thanks for the great work with the server mate. It is great to have the opportunity to play this awesome game with some good people and on a level headed server. It seems some wankers are keen to mess with the game pre-launch and I see a lot of servers now advertising DDOS protected so i am guessing we are not the only ones being hit.

We have named our settlement Laketon, for those who know where it is :D

I think people will appreciate the fact you've put your own time and effort in to creating this server for us -- I also think that the people that hang around with form part of a core group if you want to team up once LiF:MMO is released

Server is up and working, inc 3k skill cap. but the patch changed too much so we have to start new characters.

Patch dropped!

The Patch looks awesome -- amongst the server/crash fixes, it looks like they've fixed leather making and...we can make bone glue!! This makes my hunting skill a little more useful...

tried today and still steam aust error BUT at arount 1pm gmt a game patch is happening so gonna wait for that to come in, it looks like this patch is what we need at the moment so looking forward to it.

All good mate - I've played tons of alpha's where this is a common place issue -- usually with every update to the game! Just so long as people realise that it is not your fault, and expect that this may well happen again when LiF put out their next major release

To try and avoid loosing everything again the database will be backed up ever 2 hours.

Ouch! - bad luck, never fear, Valhaven will live on -- I have found with characters that I've started, that you get more efficient in refining your skills -- i.e. no more fishing/fletching for me...complete waste of time as you can barely catch fish and someone told me that archery doesn't work yet..

Massive apology to everyone, sometime in the early morning the server crashed out and took the database with it, so unfortunetly we are having to start over again. i tried my hrdest to get the old database back but did not suceeed. This crash was in no ay my fault and i did not wish to irritate everyone but being alpha some serious probles are expected. I understand if you dont want to start again but i will run the server anyway. hopefully we can get a good update to fix these sorts or crashes soon.
