Well, as far as I know dedicated servers work that way, you get a black screen and a wall of text indicating that your server is up, but you're not supposed to play in it yourself, isn't it? that's what makes it a dedicated server I think. You could just host a player match though, they're hosted client-side I think.

It's probably because there aren't that many people playing it, Pred. You better wait for 8-9PM either for US or central EU, busy hours ;P

Hey guys sup?? listen i wanna play on multiplayer on ranked matches..anywhere..but i can't seem to connect! :s..any ideas or reason? i donwloaded a dedicated server..but when i run it i get a lil black screen with console...

I don't know about getting less XP in player matches? Also, I've always gotten some XP, it all depends on how well you performed. But the best way is to check on the forums, there will be someone who knows.

But you get a lot less XP from player matches, don't you? that is if you get any at all. there were times I never got any...

No point in playing ranked. Better fill the empty dedicated servers. The job is that either way you get XP, but when you play ranked, you will have no players to play with and the players who play Player Matches will have less players to play with. Almost everybody play Player Match and almost noone plays Ranked Match.

Don't play on the dedicated server *Rush*Nightclub the admin of this server kicks and bans people whenever he feels like it, without any warnings whatsoever. He has kicked players because of 2 teamkills, a couple of plasma caster kills and more. He banned me because i called him a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ when i trophy killed him just for fun. A couple of minutes before that HE insulted me. This guy likes to abuse his power as an admin, i say don't support people like these.
