There was a lot of UI and models added this time. Also, we are working to optimize the game since it's now getting a bit bloated. Players may experience a memory crash after 400 turns. We have solutions for this but before we address it, we are reviewing all options.

Military panel now shows the difference between current readiness and supportable units and desired
City editor no longer allows the user to change regions (should be decided firmly when adding a new city)
Can no longer add cities to regions that already have cities
Applying changes to the region editor no longer repositions resource capacities
Fix fuel penalty calculation when updating unit group props (was wrong for air units)
Added new unit group properties to help track props of carrier based planes
Updated air land attack tooltip and added to naval groups
Added some negative signs to various morale penalty tooltips
Fixed issue where AI would stop considering building farms if they reached their per turn limit on another type of project
AI Modernizing nations will ignore research costs
Fixed exploit that allows players to see and set research for AI nations
Ranged attack now splits off units that are not valid for the unit attack leaving the attacking group selected

We finally finished getting a new Alpha candidate built and ready for testing.

The latest version (game: 1.0.60853.20 and launcher: 1.0.60855.17) is on our shared dropbox. Your installed copy should update automatically.

We've also included the hi-res texture map in that directory. To use the new map, copy the map to the following directory:

C:\ProgramData\Factus Games\Making History SWW\Launcher\ 51240da4a1e96fd40ffa9c204b3b02 a1\modules\mh2 map\world map\

The root may be different if you choose to install in a different location. The option to use the hi-res map will then become available from the in-game options menu.

We had another server interruption. This is somewhat out of our control for now. It should be resolved in the morning EST.

We had a crash involving our main server that ended up taking a week to resolve. In the meantime work has gone forward including some from the bug reports we've received from the field. I'll provide a full list when we are ready. The plan is to have something for next week.

Hello and thank you for joining us for the Alpha testing project. Factus Games is a small independent developer so we have limited resources and time for significant game testing. This process will assist us in crafting a better game.

The Alpha testing group will be very small and selective. Only Making History veterans will be allowed access for the Alpha. You already come with knowledge on how Making History games are suppose to work.

We trust that each of you will keep everything you learn about Making History: The Second World War Alpha confidential. Please do not distribute screenshots or other information about the game - even if it's positive.

Our goal here is to begin the process of finding critical system errors while getting feedback on newly implemented features. Testers should focus on pointing out problems rather than providing new ideas. You are free to make suggestions but please understand that this is not a design phase. We are highly motivated to finish. Any changes to the game at this stage will delay getting it to market.

Below is a list of unfinished or incomplete portions of the game that you should expect to be missing or represented with temporary art - usually from TGW.

• Germany is the only nation playable upon Alpha release.
• Most national Infantry models are not in game (They are built and awaiting exporting)
• Unit Icons (these need to be rendered and put in game)
• Notification Images (awaiting the completion of more events)
• Events (we are about 40% done)
• UI (The UI will be altered in color mostly. Our feeling is there is not much to gain from redoing the parts that work - maybe just change the look)
• Map models like Coastal Defense

• Encyclopedia - Not updated
• There's more but that's all I can think of
