The video/talking ban got lifted on Deadlock recently - it's effectively you're next best thing when it comes to playing SMNC. Hero Shooter TPS MOBA. 4 lanes. Trooper (bot) waves every 25 seconds. 3 turrets, per lane 2 shrines in the base, 2 stage HQ to kill.

If ya'll are jonesing for anything SMNC, Battleborn, Gigantic esque, here's the hopeful longstay power of a Valve title to get you there. Things are invite only at the moment. Those already in can suggest new people to add. The game is early development - all meta, geography, and play aspects are subject to change. Some need to! :p They added bounce-pads recently, so you've got that lil homage going for you.

Headshots are a thing. They do about 80% more damage. Skill damage (spirit) is separate from straight bullet damage (left click aim). Skills can't headshot.

It's an item builder. Took me a while to get used to, but it's less explosive in power gains than the SMNC "here's 3 damage upgrades in 5 levels homie".

All in all, you should give it a go. I'm playing Yamato - sword and shuriken lady - big surprise. Getting told I should play Wraith >_> but we'll see how it goes.

MMR is iffy. Invite only, lower pop. So far it has been very beat-ass or get ass-beat. Think close games have been in my minority, but that may change over time.

I could ramble longer but try to get in the game and do the tutorials, do some bot games. The works! See about getting an invite.

Long time, no bacon. While I'm sure plenty of you are aware, I just wanted to drop a quick hint that your chance to try out Overwatch for free is closing fast! Plenty of folks have been on a search for thier "next MNC", and that seems to have to have lead three main places: Overwatch, Battleborn, and Gigantic. Gigantic is (unfortunately) in troubles financing their release, and Battleborn (which Gingerbread Man tells me is great) has a 60 dollar entrance fee, so if you want to try your hand at an incoming product, Overwatch may be your way to go.

It's more of an objective focused shooter than a true MOBA, but it's definitely got the varying class appeal that SMNC brought on board. What's more, it bring back a functionality lost in the move from MNC to SMNC - changing your character mid game. So really, its more akin to the first. I'm having a good time with it, and hope you folks will, too.
