BETA LEVEL EDITOR IS UP NOW!
Myers Butt is Flat 20 Mar, 2011 @ 7:28pm
There is a fill feature. Just select the blocks in the grid you want to fill in with Shift, then press F.
Uncle Sciz 20 Mar, 2011 @ 5:33pm
I could have sworn there was a "Fill" feature, am I not correct? Just curious.

Anyways, first level (Probably going to move it later into the pack) of Ped is almost done, I'll upload some screens later.

I just came in. :3

Okai guys, need some feedback before i pollish my levels further.

They are supposed be be beginner friendly, with a tougher bandage.
Each level should try to focus mainly on learning how to deal with one type of jumps. So this ifrst chapter, I tried to avoid adding saws and stuff to make the level harder. The dark version of the levels are supposed to be hard, and the bandage in them are supposed to be really hard.

The screenery is far from done, and not all levels are completed either. Just focus on the levels themselves please ^^

Think I should make something between theese two in difficulty?

So yeah, any feedback at all would be appreaceated.

HELLO. Revived.
Spyker 21 Jan, 2011 @ 6:35pm
Make sure you guys check out the awesome new forum: http://supermeatboy.com/forum/index.php

Great place to share levels for now :D
easymac 12 Jan, 2011 @ 8:11pm
I forgot to include that it is supposed to be played as The Kid, or -char 23 ! Sorry!
easymac 12 Jan, 2011 @ 8:07pm
Okay guys! I'm releasing my first public level! Ever! Cool stuff! Yep!

So, before I set up publishing and stuff, I need a few testers! The level is sort of... uhm, hard. I have, as with every level I made, beaten it without changing the spawn.

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7189679/Super%20Meat%20Boy%20Levels/Really%20wanna%20be%20the%20guy/really%20wanna%20be%20the%20guy.smbl

The level is titled "really wanna be the guy" when you load it, if you can't tell. xD

Thanks in advanced for testers!

Just thought I'd give a little heads up. Tommy is at Edmunds right now finishing the level editor. It should be up very shortly.
easymac 8 Jan, 2011 @ 11:48pm
Yeah, I played around with it and this is what I found with some suggested settings:

Unknown
Unknown
Quake Strength: 1-5
Unknown
No idea- leave it under 20 or summat, as it stops the quake when it goes too high.
Quake Speed: 10
easymac 8 Jan, 2011 @ 11:30pm
I don't know if this is new to anyone, but the 'Q' hazard block is for 'Q'uake, as in Earth quake, and makes the camera shake. I'm working on values now, if anyone cares :)

Playing too much minecraft makes you think press wasd to move and space to jump.

Oh, and theres no such thing as run >.>

Hey there everybody, I've been lurking in this group for a while, and I just made a pretty neat level. Anyone want to test it out before I release it on the forums? It's a tricky level, but it has a neat gimmick imo. Link is here: http://www.mediafire.com/?uyrfcscg736f3oa

Thanks in advance. :)

Thats crap Spacsm D: D: D: good luck beating it again :P

Thanks for the idea Kefka, I just came up with another level design thanks to you :D
Anustart 17 Dec, 2010 @ 8:09pm
Anyone besides me found the tile configuration that allows you to pass through walls? I incorporated it into my Lost Woods map. It allows for tunnels that have a way in, but no way out.
demands panoramic 17 Dec, 2010 @ 3:03pm
RockLeeSmile and I have found some discoveries about 1-3 and maybe even other levels! Go to devmode and load 1-3 and scroll down. I won't spoil it.

Anyway, we have agreed to make a sort of "Modified Level Pack", which takes cut pieces and makes them in most detail possible to picture "what-if". If you think this a good idea, comment yes or no!

We need a name for this level pack...
demands panoramic 17 Dec, 2010 @ 2:49pm
I've been checking out a list of levels which have been cut or modified from the game, and I've found some near finished levels that could've been implemented in the game. Load secret1 in devmode to find a level which I even died on :P
RockLeeSmile 17 Dec, 2010 @ 11:38am
Hey Spacsm, thanks very much for checking out my level. I think I gave you a version where I forgot to reset the spawn point to the proper position. You're supposed to start at the bottom left corner where the trees are. Sorry about that...

I also got some great suggestions from Nova and I made some pretty big changes to the way the edges of the level are handled. I think it's a big improvement. I did indeed want to go for a mostly no death map, so I made changes to better embrace that philosophy. I'm STILL decorating it though, not sure when it will be done. Happy to send you another preview if you're curious.
Spyker 14 Dec, 2010 @ 5:57pm
Finished playing your level.

The first problem I found was that I didn't know where bandage girl was. When I first when through I fell all the way to the bottom, thinking it was the way to go, then climbed all the way up and got the bandage. I thought it might have been a placeholder for bandage girl and that I had completed the level so I looked around the map in editor mode and saw her up top. Someway of knowing that bandage girl is up there would be nice.

The only other problem was on 1 of the jumps going back up the way you fell. I can't remember which one, but I missed it slightly and fell out of the map. It felt like I was being punished for missing the jump, which I don't know if thats what you want, as it's a more of a "no death" map.

Otherwise I'm looking foward to the final version!
Spyker 14 Dec, 2010 @ 12:54pm
I can do some playtesting, possibly video. Sometimes some levels are immpossible to video for me as it lags using fraps.
RockLeeSmile 14 Dec, 2010 @ 12:39pm
Anyone feel like playtesting this climbing level for me? It's generally death free... I could use a video if at all possible.
RockLeeSmile 14 Dec, 2010 @ 10:09am
BOOO? Am I doing this right? :P
Spyker 13 Dec, 2010 @ 8:01pm
I love our joint 400 hours playtime of Super Meat Boy. Man we are cool.
Spyker 13 Dec, 2010 @ 7:42pm
For the homing Missiles, make sure you are using the right tileset. Some maps don't have homing missiles like the hospital and the forest.

To make stuff move, select them then press G (I think) to go to waypoint mode. Place the way points where you want it to move. Then go back and select the waypoints and use the scroll wheel to change the amount of time it takes for the objects to move to the waypoint.

I hope I explained that properly....it makes sense in my head :D
LetsGoBlues 13 Dec, 2010 @ 7:29pm
question, I can't seem to find the homing missles in dev mode, are they there? Also, how do I make it so items like sawblades move across the screen?
LetsGoBlues 13 Dec, 2010 @ 7:13pm
