Hey guys,

Been a while since we posted something on there so thought we'd give a quick update! Not a lot is happening team wise at the moment, we're looking at re-structuring and taking on a couple of new teams in the next couple of months, so keep an eye out, some of the plans we have will be interesting to say the least! :-D

Not a lot has happened on the site recently, apologies for this, but a lack of time and frankly a lack of content to write about has meant that things haven't really been updated as much as they could be. Rest assured when we get the new competitions, cups and other little bits and bobs up, the site will be much, much more active!

Lastly, we want to know what you guys want to see on the site. Is there something that you think is missing? Something you don't like / want changed? Let us know! Jump into the forums, post what you would like to see / have changed and we'll let you know if it's possible and when it will be implemented.

Black Ops Event Tonight!

Hello there!

Just wanted to point out that we'll be having a Black Ops Event on Teamspeak 3 tonight where we'll try and get as many of us as we can on our server and Teamspeak and have a laugh! If you're interested, please leave a comment or add me (Bret) and I'll give you all of the details! The server is based in The Netherlands in Europe so would probably be best for Europeans but I'm sure if Americans want to put up with the ping etc then you're welcome to!

Call of Duty: Black Ops!

Hey guys,

Quick update this time. Just wanted to let you all know that SMACK Gaming will have their CoD Black Ops server running as soon as gameservers (shudders) choose to release them. It's located in the Netherlands, Europe (other locations may come should there be enough community support to help finance them!) and is an 18 slot, ranked server :)

I'll be sure to post the IP as soon as I have it sent over to me!

We're going through changes!

Hey guys and girls,

So, there haven't been many updates recently (apologies!) so I thought I'd bring all existing members of the community as well as new ones up to date with what's going on. As you may have noticed, our website was put up a few weeks ago, this hasn't come out at all how we hoped so we have a new one that will be going live in the next 2 weeks, so please don't sign up on the old one since it'll be going offline soon! A few other things, last weekend I was out in Copenhagen, Denmark (that's in Europe for all you Amerifags! WOO EUROS) with the CS:S team at SLAP Live #21 and we came 2nd in the tournament, knocking out the favourites and friends, Fragmasters TOXIC in the lower bracket, after that we battled through and got ourselves to the final again, in which we lost 1-1 (upper bracket team already have a 1 map advantage going into the final, bad times!). Not a bad result, but we know we should have been 1st! ;-)

On to the servers, we're going to be ditching our DE based dedicated server in favour of our brand new game servers from our new sponsor, YCN-Hosting! They've already provided all of our professional teams with servers, but now we're starting to roll out the public servers, starting with Counter Strike: Source - but if there's a request / demand for them, we will stick some Team Fortress 2 / Call of Duty 4 servers up to help build the community! You may also notice an Alter IWNet server at some point (alteriw.net for more information on that) in the near future, but I'll post another announcement when the time comes! As always, if you've got an idea for SMACK, or you want to see a specific server / game being played - let us know! Add me (Bret) on steam and throw your ideas at me and we'll see what we can do. We'll also be handing out admin on our public servers when the new website is online so make sure you stay tuned!

New CS:S Server Online!

Hey guys!

Quick update to let you all know that there's a new Counter Strike: Source server online for the SMACK community, again based in Germany, Europe.

It's an 18 slot de_dust2 24/7 server that is limited to 16 slots with 2 awps per team. This should help to keep things in line! It will also have the usual HLStats running over the next couple of days :)

Team Fortress 2 Server Launched!

Ok guys, thanks a lot for all joining the SMACK Gaming Community steam group, it means a lot! We promise not to spam you with useless crap too (well, not too much!).

Here's our first announcement, and it's one that a lot of you should like! We've just opened our first Team Fortress 2 server and it's a cp_dustbowl 24/7 server hosted in Germany, Europe and it has 20 slots. Let us know if there's anything you want to see on the server because at the moment it's just plain, vanilla TF2!
