Hi folks,

If there is one thing I have discovered over the past week from testing my first official map that scaling is maps isn't as easy as I orginally thought.

So, moving forward I am going to be re-designing the koth_crash map COMPLETLY FROM SCRATCH! I will be building the map using new scaling methods.

Please do not expect any updates anytime soon, as this will be a huge change and will require quite a while, but not as long as VALVe takes to release anything!!

Thanks for the support and I look forward to testing what becomes of this.

Thanks for everyone that turned up and showed their support, however due to lack of appearences on the server I'm cancelling the scrim, at least for now. Tonight was the last chance before people start going on holiday and things.

We'll re-arrange (possibly) at a later date.

Due to elcaro's shall we say... unwilling-ness (puting it nicely) to help with the teting of koth_crash_a4 I cannot allow this team to participate in the friendly map testing scrim I had planned.

If any members of IS are still interested, or you know ANYONE who would be willing to hep with the testing process, please let either myself, Massive Rainbow Penis or Carl know a.s.a.p so that we can arrange something.

It is worth mentioning that all testers steam names will be recorded and they will gain credit for their input in the map development log, no matter how small their input.

An updated version of koth_crash is now ready to download!!

It includes the following changes since a3:
☯ Smoothed displacements below water to enable easier exit for all classes.
☯ Replaced steps above containers with ramp to aid rocket jumpers.
☯ Smoothed displacements under the shack to enable easier manuvures.
☯ Prevented players from getting stuck within displacements.
☯ Greatly reduced cap time.
☯ Upper spawn doors no longer are active.
☯ Blocked visibility in certain areas where un-needed detail are present. These will be re-added in later versions.

The map is ready for download via the link below in a .rar file. I have also added the custom file pack needed to see the tree props. This .vpk should be install directly into your /tf/custom folder and then restart TF2 for the trees to be rendered correctly instead of the 'error' model.

Hiya folks! :D I'm here today to explain how the test scrim on what will be koth_crash_a4 will be focusing on and how it will be run.

The scrim I am aiming for to be around 7pm (GMT) in which server information will be posted by myself.

However I am aware that some members of the teams know about the map already and would have an unfair advantage, to fix this I am going to be hosting a map talk for both teams which I will organise with Carl (for Inc.) and Elcaro (for IS).

The scrim will hopefully last about an hour or so depending on time. I am aiming to play 2 halves. It will run on a 'first to 5' basis before teams swap from RED to BLU and vice versa, but you guys know how this works :)

Team leaders can you please gather your teams and let me know when you are ready :)

I will upload the map when it is ready tomorrow but until then feel free to practice and explore the current version using the download link below!
