Hi speedballers

I just saw the last days that this channel is growing, but i can't see nobody on the servers. I posted in the official site's french forum that this channel chat could be a better alternative than the one in the gamecenter. Kleinerkobold aka "the great" Catchme did the same in the german part.
I just wanted to ask you, hp Bifta, admin of this channel, if you could do the same (again) in the english part.

And to all of you, do you know a good way to find players to play with? Is this channel chat really handy? How can we do to help players to meet online and prevent this game from an early death?

Thanks, see you in the arena.

The FSAS are now an official SB2 clan.

Hi guys. I really do hope some of you actually read this, but this is a line just to say that the FSAS are now an official clan for Speedball 2. (though not a massivley serious one, its just for fun for now) To join go to the Clan Market on the SB2 gamecentre and apply.

https://gamecenter.speedball2.com

I hope you all like this idea.

Hi guys group creator here. I have just had an idea, as things are still way to early days to consider making my own website how about we use the anouncements thread as a group mini forum to disscuss speedball2?

To this end I have decided to make the SB2 - FutureSport Appreciation Society a true community group and are giving you all officer status becuase I would like to think we are all like minded individuals and I would like to trust you.

You may now post announcements and events at will or just past the time of day. Just please keep it relevant to Speedball.

HP Bifta.

The new patch is out

Well the new patch is out and at least for me has fixed my crash problems. It has also addressed the short league issue a small problem with cup mode, some team management issues and has also caused incompatibility with pirate versions of the game so they can no longer play multi-player.

Possibly the 1st Sb2 mod

Hi guys (and gals if there are any), your group admin here.

I would like to say that my life with Speedball has been bug free but it has not. So while I have been waiting for the weekend to be over and the team to return to the office I have been seeing what I can achieve with the parts of the game I have available.

The results are this my first (and possibly THE first ) community mod for Speedball 2 Tournament. I know many of you are nostalgic for the theme tune from the original game on the Amiga, and are possibly disappointed there wasn't a new version in this release. well your prayers have been answered. I have successfully managed to add the music from the classic as well as a more modern remix to the menu. Sorry but I am afraid this is early days and this is currently an either/or proposition.

Instructions.

1) Download chosen music.

2) Rename the downloaded file and remove .rar from the end of the filename so it ends with the extension .exe (this was so I could upload them to Fileden).

2b) Backup the original music folder if you wish. (Though it is mixed into the end of classic tune to provide a little variety) This folder is found by following the path shown in instruction 3b.

3a) Run the .exe, it should extract to the correct directory for a default Steam install (change the path where required).
or
3b) Open the .exe with WinRAR and extract the enclosed files to folwing path ...steam/steamapps/common/speedball 2/datas/music.

I promise they are virus etc safe they are just self extracting archives containing music and nothing else.

Download Links

(not sure how to do url`s in here so you will have to copy and paste for now.

Classic Amiga Music http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/12/2/1621704/SB2T-Amiga.classic-Menu.Music.Mod.v0.8.exe.rar

Remix of classic theme http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/12/2/1621704/SB2T-Amiga.remix-Menu.Music.Mod.v0.8.exe.rar

If anybody wishes to help me by providing a mirror I will be most grateful.

Original Theme (c)Bitmap Bros.
Remix - Speedbal 2 `06 version (c) Bluejooz 20-20.
Modern Theme (c)Frogster Interactive....

This mod is un-official in anyway. classic music available from www.amigamusic.com.

N.B. Use of this mod does extend the games initial loading time (but only a little).

I hope you all like them. I will work on adding the tunes to the match music just as soon as I can actually play matches again so I can test it.
