Please join us tonight around 5pm EST when we fully wipe the Rust In Peace server.
The Arena and Welcome Center will be constructed tonight and should be operational so you can get out there and earn that money right away!
Server will come down around 445pm EST for updating and should be back up around 5pm EST
If there is an early update I will more than likely take the server down early and notify when back up.
Please visit the Game Server section for an image of the map to plan out ahead of time.

Armor slots and gloves

We have a seventh slot! After a few years of player requests and recurring Reddit threads the devs have added a seventh item slot for clothing and armor. Additionally we are seeing three new types of gloves including the tactical non-craftable gloves that greatly decrease sway with a scope.

Burlap gloves

BP: Default
Crafting: 5 cloth
Time: 30 seconds

Roadsign gloves

BP: 20 scrap
Crafting: 20 leather, 1 roadsign, 2 sewing kits, tier 2 workbench
Time: 30 seconds

Tactical gloves

BP: Item can only be found
Crafting: Cannot be crafted
Time: Cannot be crafted.

Cargo Ship

A new server event is coming in this week. The long awaited cargo ship will soon be patrolling the shores of Rust island. This floating PVP arena is loaded with several elite crates and two countdown locked cargo crates similar to the chinook drop.

L96 rifle

After a tease last month and a lot of commits over the last few weeks we finally get to see the new L96 military-grade rifle. As non-craftable this item can only be found in event drops like the helicopter, at the moment the odds of getting one are quite rare. This beast has virtually no bullet drop and can level enemies or a foraging deer in short order. Can be recycled for 20 HQM, 3 pipes, 3 springs, and a moderate chance for rifle body.

8x scope

Along with the new L96 rifle we are getting a much more powerful scope for long distance shots. It’s quite effective at certain ranges but it’s currently able to zoom in without the game changing the render distance accordingly. This scope cannot be crafted.

Today the Rust server fully wipes

• The server will come down around 445pm EST & be back up @5pm EST
Map Size = 3850
• No new mods this wipe cycle although new ones will be added soon
• Community Center/Event Arena/Hotel will be constructed Saturday morning on stream
• $10 Steam card giveaway LIVE @9pm EST on Twitch TWITCH CHANNEL[twitch.tv]
• To be eligible for the giveaway must be an active player tonight

Sorry I've been away from the server for quite sometime. The lack of growth makes it really hard to stay motivated to run it.

Also I just recently lost my Dad to cancer (FUCK CANCER) and its taken a toll on me. I'm not sure when I'll feel better if at all.

I will update the server for the force wipe this Thursday and will try to get the normal arena, welcome center, etc up and running also.

Please try and push this server. Would be great to actually have a community for it.

The server is updated. We are going to try something different. Instead of a 2 week map wipe we will wipe everything in 1 month. So enjoy building BIG! Also I have removed Z-Levels plugin and wanna try out Hunt RPG this cycle. I'll post info on it later.

I'll try and get the Comm Center and Arena up sometime this weekend.

Today around 4pm EST the Rust server (Rust in Peace) will be brought down for updating and map wipe.
There's not much new to report on this wipe, for all update info check out Rustafied.com
Here are a few notes to observe
• Welcome Center will have a 4 room hotel above it on the 3rd floor. The cost for rent is 1 coin for 24 hours of use. This will allow people who dont wanna build a base but still have secure limited storage. Not sure how this is going to work out so this is the test run essentially
• Welcome Center / Arena / Race is all setup Saturday morning after a wipe
• For the new map please check out the "Game Servers" tab
• I'm bringing back the $10 Steam card wipe day giveaway to try and induce more growth. Minimum of 2 hours on server prior to wheel spin needed to be eligible. Wheel spin is streamed live on Twitch @9pm EST followed by a mass air drop. Twitch.TV/MetroDetroitGaming
