many times links can be misleading and lead to phishing or such
this time of the year it can be some of the worst scams/phishings

hmm..... joining a random discord with an offer of the unknown
not really something one would call safe
you can still be modded to run an event for specific games
or make a forum thread for people to join up

i still share this group in forums for people looking to revive games

it can still be active just takes people willing to host and lead
even if there not mods they can always setup forum threads for events
