Wow, it definitely has been awhile since I have made an announcement but those of you who have been in contact know that we have finally made our first public beta for the RTR Project! It is late here and I cannot fully go into details, as I have work early in the morning but just know that the mod works, and seems to run smoothly. Please download it here, check it out, and provide some quick feedback as well as taking at least 3 screenshots of something that is not found in vanilla RTW in the next 24 hours. By this time tomorrow night, the BETA will be released on TWC and on our site at rtrproject.com. Here are the files, happy testing!

To install make sure you first have a clean installation of RTW as well as the Alexander Expansion installed.

1. Extract the MM folder to your RTW directory
2. Right Click on the Alx.exe and create a shortcut
3. Then right click the shortcut and select properties and put this in the target line after all quotations: -show_err -mod:MM
3. If you are using steam, I believe you'll need to extract the MM folder to your Rome: Total War - Alexander folder, though I don't think it will work unless you replace the alexander data folder with the data folder from Rome Total War.
4. Then simply go to your library, right click on Alexander and go to properties.
5. Select 'Launch Options' and put -show_err -mod:MM in the target line.
6. If you are using the non steam version but want to run it through steam, go to 'Add a game' then select the Shortcut you made in step two and name it RTR BETA 1
7* If you are using the Gitlab, make sure you read post #14 from the 'Ave, Developers' thread and update your GIT. Then all you need to do is pull the files and you can play.

If you have any issues please report here or on TWC. Infeirnus will be making an installer and uploading it to our website so it should be lighter and easier to install.

In case you guys are not checking the commit page on the gitlab, there are some new files to pull!

1) Rome is fully playable atm (most should have this by now, and it will be overhauled soon)
2) Macedon, Greek, Seleucid, and Egyptian rosters have been organized.

Alright everyone, it's back to modding and testing!

I have listed about 25 of you as active users on our Gitlab site, and have given you all a link to the tutorial, your username and password so that you are all set and ready to go.
IF you did not get any of that from me, and want to, please message me here or on TWC. I will only keep users on our server who are:
1) Actively developing
2) Actively Testing
3) Not off in the abyss

Basically, hang around be a part of this community, contribute to the mod, and you will have access. Do nothing, and you'll get deactivated.
We have no time to carry a bunch of 'members' who do nothing. If you joined this project, then we expect contribution in some way shape or form.

Remember, on October 1st I will be sending a message to every RTR member who has joined the RTR Project since its creation in November, 2013. If you do not respond by October 31st, you will be removed from the team and have to reapply for team access via the public forum. The only members exempt from being deactivated are those who were a part of older RTR teams.

Now to Git. If you don't know what it is, it is going to make this mod a lot more easy to develop. For the past few months, I have been hosting the mod on my computer, recieving files from others and implementing myself, or sending the mod to someone so they can change something, then they send it back so I continue my work. There were many 'waiting days' where nothing was done for fear of screwing up files. Now we don't have to worry about that.

The mod is in a centralized location now. I can update the EDU while another person updates the descr_strat, and upload it to the server at the same time. We can even work on the same file at once and upload it, and Git will simply merge the changes together.

Some of you are known as 'reporters' on the GitLab, that means you are testers. You can 'pull' or download the mod and updates, but you cannot 'push' or upload anything.

The others, you are developers. This means you can pull and push files. If you are pushing, you MUST leave a comment explaining what changes you made, or else a lot of things can go wrong.

Also, for everyone, when you are logged in, make sure you update and pull files everytime so you are constantly up to date with the mod.

Hey team!

Some news:

1) Faction rosters are being successfully modified, as one by one factions are being finished.

2) Soon we will be transporting the mod to GIT, a system where the mod will be in a central location so that multiple users can download and upload 24/7. This should speed up the process. Thing is, only 20 of us will have this access so the rest of you will have to wait for us to have formal beta's out to test.

3) On October first, a new thread will be made on TWC. I will contact everyone who is in our Dev Group to post in the thread before October 31st. All you'll need to say is 'here' or 'ready'. If you do not post within the month, you WILL be removed from the team until you re-apply for access, which will be another thread on the public side of the forums. Also, if you post on the thread but fail to contribute anything that month, you will also be removed. We have too many people who aren't doing anything. Some have good reason and I thank them for explaining but others I don't hear from. So basically if you want to be a part of this project, you have to be 1) Present and 2) Make contributions, or else this mod will take forever to finish. This is a team so we need to get more organized and come together.
