bullshit 16 Feb, 2012 @ 8:38pm
FIY I just spent 15 minutes waiting for a spot to open up in the 64/64 2fjg server (you know, the only server where you play humans even if it does support more people than this game really should be capable of handling).

My other choices at this time consist of 8 servers which have a combined 10 human players in them. Some of the servers are even showing 20/50 and when you click on it there aren't any actual players in it. There are 20 bots running around in a server fighting each other. Doesn't anybody else find this to be absolutly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mind boggling?

I didn't even see a spot open up in the 64 man server this entire time. Hey I think I'm going to go play a game that has more than a couple hundred people playing it right now. God its so sad, nobody even knows what TWI had on their hands here. This game could have been incredible.
bullshit 16 Feb, 2012 @ 8:32pm
I like how every NA server is either full of bots (and therefore mostly unplayable) or 64/64 every hour of every day. 64 man servers are entirely too large to pub in, and its as if every other server consists of 4-6 people playing with 20 bots- like shooting at the stupid bots who are busy trying to jump over a fence 50 times is actually fun or challenging.

Aside from how disappointed I am in how competition died in this game after about 3 weeks, I can't stand pubbing in this game which is sad. I love the way the game plays, I actually think it is well made aside from a few glaring problems which have destroyed it.

I don't think this preference is for lack of a server that is bot free and has smaller sizes, I think the lemmings of this community actually enjoy packing themselves into 64 man servers. That way they can feel good when they prone in a corner for 15 minutes and get 20 kills with the PPSH from the sheer number of people accidentally stumbling into them.

Well put PropheT. That dude is just a tard.

everyone say goodbye to the troll also known as commiekid ;)

You like flinging around that word "Asperger" so loosely. I think if your looking for someone who has the same condition as yourself you might try a support group that specialize in that field.
-[SiN]-bswearer 27 Jan, 2012 @ 5:29pm
and those % are just my educated approximations.
-[SiN]-bswearer 27 Jan, 2012 @ 5:27pm
Bloody, i think prophet meant "bswearer, please summerize." so in summary: RO2 is not what we were promised and in it's current state is not enjoyable to play. hence the 80% dropoff rate. 50% of the people who own the game will never come back. But if the game gets fixed, perhaps 30% of the idle players will return.
OneBloodyHero 23 Jan, 2012 @ 8:17am
He sure did.
Prophet 23 Jan, 2012 @ 7:49am
Its no Ro1, but I enjoy it just the same. BSWearer, summarizes for god sakes.
OneBloodyHero 23 Jan, 2012 @ 7:08am
RO2 borrowed and emulated far too many COD and BF3 features. I'll just play those games instead, rather than a WW2 hybrid. I played RO because it was RO, something distinct and unique, a game which seperated itself from other fps games. It was difficult to learn and play, but once you got the hang of it, it was awesome. And yeah, the most obvious reason for those retarded features was to make more money, and they sure as hell did.
Lemur 22 Jan, 2012 @ 6:14pm
RO1 was created to break the mold of the realistic FPS genre. RO2 was created to make money. Simple as that and the results speak for themselves. Tripwire as a whole took a giant dump right in the mouths of their fans.
After.Dark 22 Jan, 2012 @ 2:22am
It is funny you say the game is pretty good Prophet. When the game is at a level in which it took Ostfront four to three years to get too. RO2 is at the desperate OST levels and we are not even a year into its releaseThe game has mass potential but was squandered due to a President wanting all the funds he could get. In hindsight, It was his right to do what he wanted to do. He was warned, begged to change things, but did what he wanted. Now he is paying for it. Ramm is out from any further RO2 decisions. That speaks volumes.. if you can't see that then you never will. Their will be no RO3 unless KF2 is a massive success, in which Ramm is full decision barrier of KF2. Which means, if you look at the recent track record. We are in for another terrible release, promises broken, and mass disappointments on another, what could have been great title.

word.
-[SiN]-bswearer 21 Jan, 2012 @ 2:21pm
also, what you are implying is that i want people to not play the game as my "revenge" against TW for being the arrogant ♥♥♥♥♥ they've been towards me (and others...Lemon, hockey, grobut, fed, etc...) in the past.....that's simply not true. Yes, Rammtard had me (and others) banned from the forums because he was butthurt that i/we could see through his ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Is that going to stop me from wanting RO2 to succeed? No. Hell, why would I have preordered the game AFTER i was already banned? Why would I still have recommended the game to friends to preorder? See the reality is that I want people to play the game. I want the game to be a success. I want the few good members left in TW to take back control of their company and fix the flaws of RO2 that were the result of bad leadership that mislead other devs. you keep claiming that I want RO2 to fail......your assertion is far from the truth.
-[SiN]-bswearer 21 Jan, 2012 @ 2:06pm
prophet, maybe your prophetic skills could use some work....i'm trying to "convert" people?...look at the people in this group, hardly anyone plays the game anymore. my thinking is that RO2 is currently a failure.....that is a thinking shared by the 80% of the people that stopped playing the game, many of the members of this group being of the 80%. so, what again am i supposedly trying to convert people to do?? in reality, it's you who is trying to convert people to believing that the game is "a pretty good one". irony's pretty fun isn't it?
froggy nelson 13 Jan, 2012 @ 11:25am
Don't get me wrong bswearer, I agree that the game isn't where it should be and the number of players is pitiful, but your example is 1 o clock in the morning on a weekday. RO-OST had time to grow and work out the kinks, which led to more players...RO2 will be the same.
Prophet 13 Jan, 2012 @ 3:47am
Your issue with them is personal. They hurt you, and now you want to convert the whole NA community to your thinking because of it. Like I said before, you have a steam group already that does bashing of TW already. I join this one to promoted it not join some hate group.

p.s. Its just a game (pretty good one) , let it go.
-[SiN]-bswearer 12 Jan, 2012 @ 11:07pm
Prophet, I think I accidentally deleted your comment. Sorry that you don't like facts because they are "negative".

Deadbolt, My example is not dreadful. It is a statement of facts showing how badl the numbers are. ROOST still had 500+ players around midnight (EST) 2-3 years after release. Your example indicates two things: the vast majority of players are European, and the peak is still FAR below where it should be. 1041 is downright PATHETIC as the peak for a highly touted sequel to an award winning game, especially after a mere 4 month lifespan.

With both facts, we see nothing but failure. RO2's failure to attract/retain North American players, and its failure to retain players in general.

Despite all the ♥♥♥♥ TW's pulled (towards me personally), all of the backstabbing towards their loyal fans (in general), and all their failings and shortcomings with this game, I still hope for this game to be a success. RO2 could be a success but in its current state, I have no reason to play.
froggy nelson 12 Jan, 2012 @ 11:27am
check at a different time, your example is dreadful. 2:26 est 1041 playing. you can't base your example off of a time where the majority of the world is asleep on a weekday.
-[SiN]-bswearer 11 Jan, 2012 @ 10:25pm
244 players at 10:22pm (PST). RO2 is really kicking CODBLOPS ass (let alone MW3). I'll give it another try when TW can fix the game to the point where it gets more daily players than KF.
-[SiN]-bswearer 11 Jan, 2012 @ 10:20pm
I've played it......awesome is far from accurate.
Prophet 11 Jan, 2012 @ 9:55pm
BSWearer, let it go. You got to get yourself together , you got stuck in the moment and now you cant get out of it. -U2 Peace bro Peace.

p.s. Game is awesome now.
-[SiN]-bswearer 11 Jan, 2012 @ 9:44pm
TW is my hero! For without them, I'd be wasting my life playing RO2. They did such a great job releasing a crappy game, insulting their once loyal fanbase, and banning those who could have helped them. As a result of their incredible failure, I've reallized there are more important things in life than supporting arrogant, egotistical, and still very much amaturish game developers :)
