Hi all,

If your team was signed up for the Rageless ladder, you should have received an email about your match.

The matchups can be viewed at: http://www.ragelessgaming.com/matchups

If you didn't recieve an email and you were the captain, please contact either Altered Beast or Pagefault to let them know.

Confogl has been enabled on the servers, which means there are several modifications to the standard gameplay in order to make it more even for every play through in a competitive environment.

For instance, you'll notice the distinct lack of health packs in the maps as well as T2 weapons.

Discouraging signups

Thanks to everyone who has signed up and created their teams so far. Unfortunately the response has been rather underwhelming. We have over 100 members in this group, yet not even 4 full teams have signed up.

I don't want to be paying for the servers to just sit there and do nothing. If no one else wants to play and sign up over the next couple of days I may look at cancelling the Ladder and the Servers.

Sorry to those that were looking forward to playing and had already signed up.

Season 2 is now officially open!

We've cleared out all existing Teams and Scores and just reset everything as Season 2 uses an Automatic Ladder System.

If you're a Team Captain, make sure you create your Team and then add your team members. If you're a team member, wait for your captain to add you.

The new web design has been put on hold as it was consuming too much time. We're still paying for the servers and they're mostly idle so any further delaying is just a waste.

What's new?

Automatic Ladder System - Every week the server will matchup the teams in the ladder, with nearby teams in the ladder. Previously in Season 1, the matchups were completely random, which meant that the matchups could result in completely unfair matches.

Improved Match Tracking - A better message system is displayed to represent detected matches. As soon as teams leave the safe room, the match will be detected and announced. If the match is abandoned before the first team dies or reaches the safe room, the match will be abandoned and can be played later.

How does the Ladder System work?

Let's say Team A is 1st on the ladder, while Team B is 3rd. If Team A wins against Team B, then nothing will happen. Team A defended their ladder position. If Team B wins against Team A, Team B will take Team A's ladder position of 1st, and Team B will shift down to 2nd place. All other teams will then shift down a place.

Hey guys. As was previously announced, RG was looking to implement a new website to co-incide with the launch of our second L4D2 versus tournament. The person we had hired to construct the site has taken significantly longer then we had initially anticipated and has also been very difficult to contact.

Due to the extended delay, we wanted to inquire how enthusiastic everybody was about participating in a new season as we don't want to waste our time (or yours) trying to get the site completed and running another season if their isn't a demand for it.

We simply ask that any interested members of Rageless Gaming contact myself or Pagefault about season 2 or simply leave a comment below. Thanks guys.

Season 2. New Format, New Website and New Divisions!!!

With the success of our intial 'trial' season, things are in the works for the greatly anticipated 2nd season of Rageless Gaming's L4D2 versus tournament. After much discussion, we have decided to run the confogl config for this season though we will be KEEPING medkits in the game (google 'confogl', those who are not familiar with it).

A new and improved website with more features is also under construction to co-incide with the commencing of season 2.

We are also proud to announce the inclusion of a dual division system where teams will be more evenly matched with teams closer to their skill level.

No date has been finalised yet for when season 2 will start as we are still working to implement these points. I'll be offline for a few weeks due to moving house and changing isp's. If you have any questions, feel free to hit up pagefault and distract him from the game he is currently making :P Thanks guys.

Match Detection

It seems there is a bug sometimes with match detection.

When you connect to the server, and everyone has loaded and you're ready to play, and you haven't seen a message from the server to say it recognised the match (and there's nothing in your console), then try the following:

Return to Lobby and try again.

If this doesn't work, please take screenshots at the end of the match for your score and let me know the outcome and that you experience the bug.

If the server detects your match it should display something like:

"Match now Active - Match Week 4: CB VS pH"
"Match scores are now being tracked. Good luck!"

If these messages appear, the server will be tracking your match and it will tell you when it uploads scores to the server.

Just a reminder to remember to fill in your SteamIDs in the new forum. If you don't, the server will be unable to recognise you and automatically track the match!
