Custom Server for TDU2

At present, a new server build is in operation on our test server. This latest version includes a critical feature, which entails retransmitting lost packets to ensure a more robust and reliable server performance. Nevertheless, the exact configuration of the "Resend-Timing" mechanism is still under development and requires careful fine-tuning, primarily due to latency issues.

Lateness in data transmission plays a pivotal role in determining the ideal timing for packet retransmission. Sending packets too early or too late can result in game-related issues and unwanted errors. To circumvent such problems and attain optimal performance, it is imperative to meticulously calibrate these settings.

The challenge lies in finding the perfect timing that guarantees the dependable retransmission of lost packets while preventing unnecessary duplicate transmissions. Achieving this balance necessitates an exhaustive testing phase wherein various settings and latencies are rigorously analyzed and refined.

If you wish to participate in the testing process and support our endeavor to improve this crucial aspect of our server, you have two avenues for doing so. If you are utilizing the older launcher, you can switch the proxy. For those using the new launcher, simply replacing the designated file will grant you access to the test server.
