Weapons training-mode on Armoured Front (AF maps).

I have been going around with the idea of a weapons training mode for some time, and i think i've got it worked out :)

Since this game's multiplayer has no practice mode where you can play vs. bots (to get used to the different weapons at your own desired pace), i believe a practicing mode is very usefull to newcomers and anyone who seeks to improve on their abilities with a specific weapon.

I've chosen Conquest maps (AF) for this mode, because of it's ''spawning system'' where you are much less likely to fall victim to surprise attacks (common in DM and TDM type of games).
The advantage of AF maps for this mode, is the simple fact you will always come in contact with your enemies face-to-face and be prepared to engage always.

RULES:
1: Balance of strength MUST favor the Practicing team, meaning that the Practicing team does not get overpowered by Attacking team wich is the purpose of this mode :)
If the Practicing team is getting overpowered, one of the Attackers joins the Practicing team to balance again.
2: No MINES or any GRENADES allowed.
3: No SUPER WEAPONS allowed.
4: NO MELEE allowed.
5: Practicing team: ONLY uses ASP-rifles.
6: Attacking team: ONLY uses Pistols WITHOUT alt. fire mode (NO super-pistols).
7: No MECH, No Turret for both teams.
8: As the practicing teams get stronger in their abilities and/or adjustments are requested such as ''Melee allowed'' or different weapons wanted for training, the above RULES can be modified to try new aproaches to this concept.

IMPORTANT NOTE: IF YOU CAN NOT FIND THE SERVER AND YOU SET HAMACHI ADAPTER METRIC SO PLEASE CHECK IT AGAIN. FOR SOME REASON THE VALUE RESETS ITSELF BACK TO DEFAULT. AND EVEN if THE METRIC IS CORRECT AND YOU STILL CAN NOT FIND THE SERVER THEN CONTACT HAMACHI SUPPORT.

Right now we use Hamachi network: FEAR2NEWSTART, password: 12345

After Tunngle closing May this year, now also Evolve did!

You all signed up for Bowstring so that's good, but now we're left to play the waiting game

At this moment no date has been released on Bowstring's launch so far, stay tuned!!!

After Evolve has closed, playing F.E.A.R.2 will be done by using a 'stand-alone' LAN service, (Bowstring) read below for details.

STEP1:
Evolve will merge with player.me, wich is the new social platform that adopts all Evolve player statistics when you transfer so you should:

STEP2:
Sign up for Bowstring (new 'stand-alone' LAN platform after Evolve closes):

Bowstring as far as we can tell launches soon after Evolve's closing.
So be sure to do these steps and the switch to new platform in theory should go smoothly :)

This topic helps you to optimize a couple of crucial factors for Online Gaming, when using Evolve wich is a VPN (Private Virtual Network).

STEP 1: You need to ''Port Forward'' your router where your gaming PC / Laptop is connected to.

Visit: https://portforward.com/router.htm
Note: If a window opens asking you to purchase, click ''CLOSE'' and the webpage with routers opens.
On this page with available Routers search the model you OWN, click on it and read the page so you learn how to Login and navigate thru your Router :)

STEP 2: Search your PC/Laptop's IP address: http://www.howtofindmyipaddress.com/
The IPv4 address is the one you need to know, to enter in the field of your Router's ''Port Forward'' menu later, write it down :)

STEP 3: Login to your Router, and go to ''Port Forward''.
There you fill in:
A: the IPv4 address.
B: The port number ''55555'' (maybe you need to fill in more then 1 field with this number).
C: Protocol, UDP.
D: Save and logout.

STEP 4: You need to start Evolve, and open ''Preferences''
''Preferences'' can be found when you open ''Hidden icons on your Taskbar''.
When you click on the Evolve icon, you see ''Preferences'' click on it.
In ''preferences'' menu select ''Parties'', there you find 2 boxes:

Box 1: Prohibit vulnerable protocols from being used in parties CHECK THIS BOX.
Box 2: Use custom port when joining parties instead of UPnP/NAT-PMP:
CHECK THIS BOX
You can now enter a number in the field below, Enter: 55555 and click save.

STEP 5: You can check if your settings on your router are correctly functioning by downloading/installing:

Once installed: open it / choose trial version / use port checker: 55555 UDP.
If your router is correctly set up, the result should be a green line of text expressing that the port is opened.

Hi, we are thinking about changing the start of the event because summer is slowly comming. I really do not want to spend a sunny day inside my room and i think that i am not the only one. I am doing a survey and we will make the decision based on what majority want.
