Be present in Poverty Chat as early as possible on the day of the tournament to ensure that your team is not disqualified. Additionally, be sure Fightcade works consistently. If you cannot get Fightcade to work during the tournament, you will receive a loss for that game.

Eligibility

All players in the tournament must be members of the Poverty Chat community. No ringers that I've never seen before will be allowed.

Registration

Teams may register themselves on Challonge by following this link[challonge.com]. Both players must have Challonge accounts and one person must create a team and then add the other player to the team before signing up. I realize this will be very difficult for a lot of you so just do the best you can and I'll try to work with you.

Alternatively you may send me a message expressing your intent to participate and let me know who your partner will be. If you choose to do this, make sure the other person messages me as well to confirm that you are indeed a team. Do this in Poverty Chat, Steam, or Twitch message.

Before each team match, both teams are allowed to ban 2 games each. Bans may be communicated privately with me. Two games are then RANDOMLY selected from the pool of remaining games. Teams decide for themselves who plays which game. Once the matchups are decided, a best of 3 set is played for both games. In the event that each team wins one game, a tiebreaker game must be played. The teams pick who is to play the remaining game and a game is RANDOMLY chosen from the pool of unbanned AND unplayed games. The team that wins the tiebreaker game wins the match.

Rules

I'm not gonna spell out a bunch of rules for you guys. This is like the 5th poverty tournament so you all should know the drill by now. Don't be an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and try to keep things running smoothly. I'll try to work with you if issues arise but it'll be on a case-by-case basis and I reserve the right to make whatever rulings I deem to be the most fair.

Prizes

Prize pool will be supplied by zzzmeansfyou. He assures me that the prize pool will have monetary value. That is all I know. More information to come.
