As a team, we need to spend more time playing on our own. This means playing seriously in good deathmatches and pugs as well as working on your takebacks for sites. This also means watching pro-demos and working on holding your spots as well as the nades that you need to be able to throw.

The mentality and execution of our strats needs improvement and everyone MUST learn the names of all spots as well as learn to call better during games. This means calling numbers of enemies, where they are going, what they are holding, what you hear, if they have bomb, what they are throwing, what weapons they have, what you are covering when you are in a bombsite, and what you are doing. Talk to your teammates and they will save your life. Talking wins rounds. On the other hand communication must be kept concise at all times, CS has and will forever be highly dependent on the sounds you hear if you plan to win.

It can be really hard to call strats and work together as a team if everyone has a different subset of knowledge and their own style when it comes to how they play the game and how they work together.

For the time being I have decided that we will focus more on game knowledge and non-esea scrims until we have reached a level where we can regularly win. We will operate like this for as long or short as is necessary.

On the other hand, tournaments with serious prizes have begun popping up all over the place and I wouldn't mind winning some shit (papa wants a new videocard mufuckaz). I am toying with the idea of entering these tournaments just to get practice under a higher pressure more realistic tournament style setting.

As always, I am open to discussion and would appreciate hearing your thoughts.

PPS: I have also been toying with the idea of having a lan or two one of which being a CS bootcamp type thing to help improve peoples game. Your feelings?

PPPS: Also, going to have another get mad fucked up and lan hard with some type of tournament style Lan. Prepare your minds, souls, and bodies. This is going to be the annual Halloween Lan and it tends to go hard.

There have been a number of CS:GO tournaments and ladders with some nice prizes announced (both hardware and cash)
We will be moving towards preparing for these events in the next few weeks.
