I've done that too, but honestly if you get spawned in the port of Elektro or Cherno.. god are you a sitting duck. It's not as bad when you are spawned at the sides though.

Paradoxical, I agree with your strategy, that's what I tend to do as well, but if I start a new character I don't mind running thru the edge of Elektro or Cherno to grab a bunch of gear quick and then head inland to start my days of survival.

Running from the coast as quickly as possible helps at not getting shot in the back... and not spawning near cherno or elektro.. Fftt. Hate spawning there.

I'm generally good at staying alive, running from trouble and keeping inland, raiding deerstands (and player tents) and the less visited cities. Getting good at it. I usually don't have to kill people too, which is a plus. Of course sometimes... I honestly hate having to ruin another persons day, but i'd rather not have mine ruined. Haha.

I play a lot on the UK SAS server. Mostly because it's easy to get into but also because I've found a lot of cool people on that server. I've teamed up with lots of people. Such an awesome game!

I generally play on the Dallas servers at the moment, focusing on Dallas 27, mostly because I have pitched my tents on this server. I'm generally jaded and paranoid (as this game tends to do to you haha) but I'm willing to attempt trusting someone. :p
