I sexually Identify as an Attack Helicopter. Ever since I was a boy I dreamed of soaring over the oilfields dropping hot sticky loads on disgusting foreigners. People say to me that a person being a helicopter is Impossible and I’m ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ retarded but I don’t care, I’m beautiful. I’m having a plastic surgeon install rotary blades, 30 mm cannons and AMG-114 Hellfire missiles on my body. From now on I want you guys to call me “Apache” and respect my right to kill from above and kill needlessly. If you can’t accept me you’re a heliphobe and need to check your vehicle privilege. Goodbye to the only reason to even keep TF2 installed. Believe it or not this was a part of my life I won't ever forget. Everyone I know and still play with came from here and I appreciate every second of playtime on it. Played for around 9 hours straight (yes this is accurate) last day and that is the most fun I've had in a video game in a long time. I love all of you. -Insane Asylum

I would have honestly revisited the P.I.T during these last months, but much like any other 16 year old, work always had to come first. And by work, I mean school work. I will never forget the memories that I have consumed throughout those 3(?) years meeting many personalities on the P.I.T from the beginning to the end. At least I still have some of my close friends from the P.I.T added on Steam. Farewell :)

this place was amazing i met a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of ppl here i didnt even think id become friends with half of the 1.7k hours i have on this game was in this server with practically everybody here they dont even know me anymore but its what ever this server was hella fun and i met dope ass friends here lol

Maybe one day one of us can re-open the pit and we can relive our old memories, create even better ones and make good memories for new players that find it.

Gotta say, out of the few thousand hours I've spent playing TF2 over the years, the vast majority of them were spent on one of the Pit's many maps. Props to Fish for all those awesome maps, in addition to creating the server that hosted so much of the joy I got out of this game. It was a great time meeting all those people, screwing around with random guys, and chilling with the veterans of the server for so long. I'll never forget my time on this wonderful server.

Of course, there's still time to chat with one another every so often, so hopefully we can do that :)

P.S. It's a shame the Pit lost its popularity within the last year, since I'm just now finally getting that gaming computer I always complained I never had, haha.

Dang the pit closing down sucks, ive had a lot of good times there and ive also spent most of my tf2 career on the pit. One of the greatest tf2 hangouts ive experienced, the pit will be missed. And if its still up when I get back on I will be there to experience its final days.

Just want to say. The vast majority of my 1,532 hours in this game were spent on the PIT...You guys are probably the only reason that I stuck around with TF2 for as long as I did.

Wow, I never expected to gather such a community. What started out as just a server for me to idle on, led to the server being "full" all the time. From there, it just began to grow. There have been a lot of people pass through The P.I.T.

I know in the last year+ I wasn't around hardly at all ... it just seemed to me that playing TF became more like a job and took a lot of time. The appearance I was getting from valve was "We need more money, so lets come out with new stuff" ... "make people have to pay for keys" .... etc.

I sank quite a bit of money into buying those keys and opening those crates. Heck, even buying an australium professional killstreak black box from the market for some serious $$. Every opening of a crate or purchase of a key, I was never getting ahead with my backpack. I was always loosing money.

Those days I don't miss, but I do miss the early days and the fun / competitive / rocket tennis / no clipping days.
