Dawno, dawno temu, 2 miliony lat przed naszą erą, odmieniły się losy całej planety! Tuż po targach E3 2000, gra "Original War" stopniowo pojawiała się w mediach, a my dowiedzieliśmy się, co już niedługo skradnie nasze serca.

Skąpany nostalgią pokażę historię przemiany naszego dzisiejszego bohatera na podstawie magazynowych recenzji. Tym razem to jednak nie ja opowiem tę historię, lecz dam jej przemówić. Oddajmy się więc wspomnieniom, wysłuchując wypowiedzi sprzed ponad 20 lat, z takich magazynów jak: CD-Action, Click!, Świat Gier Komputerowych, eXtra Gra. Magazyny pochodzą z lat 2000-2001 i przedstawiają medialną historię naszej ukochanej gry.

Jeżeli format Wam się spodoba, to może kiedyś powróci np. w formie przeglądu kolejnych czasopism z recenzjami Original War lub dłuższego przeglądu pierwszych numerów znanych magazynów. Dajcie znać, kogo interesuje jak to drzewiej bywało!

The Arabian Campaign is the largest and one of the best projects in the history of Original War, which came out of the OW community, for the OW community. Its storyline is based on the original Altar notes (OW developers), which were found in the game files with the game source code provided by Altar.

Take the control of a mercenary commander - Heike Steyer and lead the sheikh troops to victory... or betray them and play a key role in creating the Legion.

19 new, complex missions, 33 new maps, original arabian interface, soundtrack recorded especially for the arabian campaign by the author of the music from the other two campaigns, super interesting storyline, thousands of lines of SAIL code and non-linear gameplay.

The Arabian Campaign is much more complex than 99% of known mods.

In our download (https://original-war.net/files.php?id=189), the alpha version, developed over the years by many members of the Original War community, the Arabian Campaign, is constantly being updated, and now you too can become part of this project! The project was born out of a community idea and has always been open to new people. If you can program in SAIL, create advanced textures for maps, create missions, design graphics and artwork for the game, have contacts with a recording studio that would be willing to help with professional dubbing in all the languages where the game was released, or if you are a voice actor yourself, let me know! There is definitely something for you! Together we can do more! Together we can create something the developers of the game couldn't finish before it was released, together we can create the Arabian Campaign!

We also invite everyone to test the modification itself and report the bugs to the forum to make the game even more enjoyable.

Original War Balance

As we have known for years, Original War has many balance problems - especially in multiplayer. Many types of units are simply useless in multiplayer, with their strength and functionality they are not balanced with each other, and maps are a far cry from being balanced. The first attempts to solve this problem took place already in 2007, when we were looking for solutions to this problem within the "Balance Mod" and "Alternative Game Balance" projects. However, it was not easy to solve, as these changes also affected the campaign.

However, there was a breakthrough in this respect. One of the upcoming game functionalities is loading GameInit data files from three separate locations for the campaign, multiplayer mode and skrimish. For this reason, Enguzrad's initiative led to the creation of a group whose task is to try to create an Original War that is more balanced.

Original War Streamers Tournament 2019 - Make Multiplayer Great Again!

The time has come for the Great Games! We would like to invite you to the Original War Streamer Tournament, which will take place on 30-31.03.2019 at 12:00-17:00 GMT+1! The main goal of the tournament is to test all default maps, multiplayer modes, sync lost, game exploits, SGUI in multiplayer and most importantly, have fun! During the tournament, several streams will be started by your favourite streamers, and the tournament will be attended by Stucuk himself, the patch maker of the Original War! With the tournament we want to catch all the multiplayer bugs, restoring the play-ability of all maps, so that the multiplayer experience can be even better!

What's more, Sali and Stucuk suggested the tournament to be played on the brand new WIP patch, with developmental version of SGUI. Stucuk has decided to speed up his work on the patch to make it possible for contestants to test out, and show the world brand new Original War user interface!

Thanks for Sali and Stucuk for their hard work! Live streams on their YouTube channels will provide: Bren, Dragon5fly, Jakes, Nefarem, and Thorgall!

Combining fun with useful, we will be able to carry out in-depth tests of the game, and you will see your favourite streamers in action!
