Match Time Issues

So I've been talking with one of the guys from the other team (deadrota, with the Bloo avatar) about the match time, and it turns out that the default time is horribly inconvenient for them. The latest time that would really work is 8:00 PM their time, which I found out is equivalent to 5:00 PM Eastern time. The date is still Sunday the 21st. They are trying to feel out some contacts in Portugal that may let us use a server there, but if that doesn't work we'll probably end up playing one map on our server and another on theirs.

Make a comment here or a post on the forum that states whether or not this is convenient for you.

Make a post either here in the group or on the OCR forum saying whether or not you're available for 8:30 PM EST on Sunday, November 21.

Alternately, inform someone else who you trust to pass the message on.

FireSlash has repurposed RED to be a second Highlander server, so we should be good for our original time of 10PM EST tonight. I've sent UGLY a message, awaiting a reply as I type this, but I doubt they'll complain.

Match 2 - Important Update

A recent development that has come to my attention is the fact that Team 2 has their match scheduled for a mere half hour before our own tomorrow. This is awkward for obvious reasons, and as a basic precaution I have pushed our own match back by a half hour to 10:30 PM EST. There is of course no guarantee that Team 2 will be done by this time, but I have spoken with UGLY about this and they have no problem with waiting for Team 2 to finish. On the bright side, they seem rather obsessed with being ready early, so once the server is ready for us things should get underway rather smoothly.

Regarding the default time we have been assigned, UGLY informs me that they formally sent us a time request for 7:00 PM PST (10:00 PM EST, our old time) which may or may not be simply a confirmation of the time Chili sent to them first, if memory recalls. The site is throwing bad gateway errors (again) so I cannot confirm this at the moment. Despite this, I am reasonably confident that since both parties are consenting to a time, there should be minimal issues with the ETF2L admins about this. Hopefully.

We got default timed?

I just checked the match page for Friday's Match with UGLY, and it looks like someone didn't confirm the time we agreed on, so the league defaulted us to a match on Oct 10 at 4:00 (whatever time that is around here).

Might want to check on that if it matters.
