The contest has been canceled, it will be rescheduled for the steamworks Obsidian Conflict release. My aplogies go out to Maestro Fenix for being cut off early on.

Thanks to W0rf0x, we now have a subdomain! / Various fixes and update about site.

Yesterday W0rf0x offered us a subdomain for the database, we took it and now apparently ocmapdb.wikidot.com is the subdomain. It doesn't really matter though, you can now access the site through www.ocmapdb.wikidot.com or
mapdb.obsidianconflict.net. So thank you W0rf0x for that!

Now to the most underhyped section of all time, site updates!
If you haven't noticed there have been many additions, and fixes since our last announcement, and of course there will be many more additions and fixes as time goes by.

Here are the update lists since then:

Large gap of undocumented changes since the beginning of the site till may 28th

MAY 28th 2011 - DominicHax

* Live tag cloud added: http://ocmapdb.wikidot.com/map-tag-cloud
* Detailed view buttons added on bottom left of main page
* Texture section has been added but is broken, gotta make it work along with hl2 and not be asking for wads.
* Tutorials section is up, cold has helped me and fixed the background issue and has added a "Last edited" thing from scmapdb as well.
* Added the todo list: http://ocmapdb.wikidot.com/contribute:todo
* Map pack section added .
* Anonymous editing privileges have been revoked because of potential abuse.
* A bunch of other various additions and fixes to the database and what not.

Updated donate button and setup a dedicated paypal account specifically for OCMapDB to avoid confusion. (it said Sven Co-op Map DB before).
Fixed missing custom forum theme on the main forum categories page.
Map review system now fully functional.
Fixed some category permissions.
Put a banner ad at the top. (Logged in users don't see ads.)

I remember there was a lot more stuff that was done but Can't remember, anyways not sure if you are even bothering to read that much, but if you did thank you for being apart of this group and supporting us! P.S Get ready for contests in the next coming months ( possibly)

When I started this database I was not aware that it would grow so quickly, not only have we beat the time sven coop map database took to get to 100 maps, but we also got 36 mappers, and 388 group members within our first few weeks! I'd like to take this time to thank everyone who has been contributing, and hopefully it stays that way for a long time! So far I want to thank COLD, without him the site is a blank page of nothingness, so thank you so much cold! I'd also like to thank Fug4lLife, without him we probably would still be at an amount like 60. As for the rest of the the people helping out with adding maps, adding downloads, adding pictures, and descriptions, THANK YOU! without a community of people willing to help we are nothing, I hope you all stay within the mods community and the map databases community for a long time!

Some of you may have been invited to this group, maybe you don't want to be in this group. I apologize for inviting you, and maybe sometime in the future you may return.

TL:DR FUCK YEA 100 MOTHER FUCKING MAPS !!! GOOD JOB AND KEEP ON BEING AWESOME!
